The mansions built in rammed earth and mud bricks in the second half of the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century, with preserved classical architecture make the Historic Center of Monte Alegre do Sul one of the most charming places in the city. In the center you will find shops, cafes, restaurants, banks and other points of tourist and cultural interest.

GOOD JESUS SANCTUARY – 1.5 KM
Opened on August 6, 1919, it was inspired by the Italian church of "Il Gesú" of Rome. Its main altar is highlighted by its architectural beauty. It's all carved in wood and the other carved marble altars. Its interior is ornamented by paintings by renowned Italian artist Domenico Rocco.

MOGIANA CULTURAL STATION AND TRAIN – 1,3KM
The site houses the old “Maria Fumaça”, heritage of the old Cia Mogiana de Estradas de Ferro. On site there is also the Memorial Mauro Silva (athlete from Monte Alegre four-time world football champion), library, playroom and internet access room.

MIRANTE DO CRISTO – 2 KM
Installed in 1942, Christ the Redeemer is at 872 meters of altitude and allows for a panoramic city view. With its front facing north, a Rose of the Winds helps the visitor to locate himself between the valleys and mountains of the city. A 600-meter steep climb leads to the top of the Lookout.
