This comfortable 2-bedroom apartment can accommodate up to 6 guests and has recently undergone significant renovations, making it the most appealing unit in the lot. While it may not be a luxury establishment, we are working to improve it. The exterior requires some attention, but there are picnic tables for outdoor dining and enjoying the Gisborne sunshine. Inside, you'll find varnished rimu floors, kitchen linoleum, and new carpeting in the bedrooms. If you're looking for a modern unit with a central location, this is an excellent choice. We provide linen, towels, Wi-Fi, a smart TV, and an efficient heat pump for quick temperature control.
Nearby, you'll find local amenities, with Pak n Save just across the street, along with the skate park, beach, river, and other conveniences.
This 2-bedroom unit includes:

Guests have sole and exclusive use of the apartment.
The 2 washing lines and 2 picnic tables and BBQ are shared with all 4 units.
The garages are not for public use, which are separate and may be accessed by maintenance/cleaning staff on some occasions.
We have a lawnmower man that may need to come around to the house and mow the lawns if you are staying for a long stay or during peak seasons.

This is one of four flats, so the backyard and garden facilities are shared. The units are located down Childers Road, which can be noisy during peak periods. There is plenty of parking available on the road. We’ve double-glazed the windows, which makes a noticeable difference in sound insulation when you enter the unit, allowing you to see out while maintaining your privacy during the day. If you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of Gisborne, please contact us for assistance in finding a more suitable property. _

While we provide outdoor lighting, it's not always left on, so we recommend bringing a flashlight just in case.

Guests who have not checked out by 10 AM and/or have not arranged a late check-out will instantly be charged a full night's accommodation. If belongings need to be moved, an additional fee will apply. This is necessary as we require sufficient time to prepare the property for the next guests, and delays place incredible stress on our staff.
Late check-out may be available depending on bookings and housekeeping schedules. Please contact Waikanae Beach Motel before your departure to check availability.
For check-outs after 12 PM this must be arranged and an extra night's fee will apply and must be paid via Airbnb by the night before. If unpaid, housekeeping will be scheduled for the regular 10 AM check-out time to ensure the property is ready for the next guest.

The cleaning fee covers two-three cleaners who refresh linens and top up supplies. If you stay longer, you'll find our properties are much cheaper per night. For one-night stays, we need to pass on the cost, as we still incur the same level of preparation and cleaning as for longer stays. We appreciate it if you can leave cleaned towels in the washing machine for the cleaners to hang in the sunshine, but it’s not required. Please ensure the property is left tidy.
