The space
PROPERTY DETAILS
This is a comfy 2 bedroom apartment catering for 6 guests. It is always getting updated.
Please note this is not the Ritz but it’s getting there, we have started renos already replacing the windows with mirrored (for privacy) double glazing for noise and warmth. The Bathroom and kitchen have been updated and there is new carpet in the bedrooms, the lounge room & kitchen flooring is vintage and needs to be varnished, the unit still needs loving, but if you are looking for somewhere comfortable and in the middle of town, this is great place for you. Provide linen, towels etc, wifi, smart tv & an awesome heat pump that warms or cools the apartment quickly.
In close proximity to the local amenities - Pak n Save is across the road and the skate park, beach, river and local amenities are only short distances.

This 2 bedroom unit has:
Bedroom 1: 1 x Queen Bed & 2 x single beds (one rolls out from underneath) (4 guests)
Bedroom 2: 1 x Queen Bed (2 guests)

Air-Conditioning/ Heat Pump
Air-conditioner is in the lounge room and will cool or heat all the rooms as needed

Parking
Parking is available on the street in front of the house.

Access
The keys can be gained through an on-site lock box. The code and location for this will be sent to you on the day of your visit.

This is a revamped unit for you to enjoy:
- 1 NEW bathroom – shower and toilet
- 1 lounge room/dining
- NEW kitchen with dishwasher
- dining table for guests
- laundry with washing machine & external clothes line

This is a lovely property, in a great location close to the shops, that allows you all to spend time together, or to use it as your base for the beach, or further afield on the coast. If there is a big group of you look at booking another unit or 3 (4 units total).

Kitchen
The kitchen is new and includes fridge, freezer, oven & electric cooktop, coffee machine, microwave, crockery, Nespresso pod machine, cutlery, pots and pans and all other items that you may need. Even a dishwasher!

Linen
We supply all linen, sheets, towels, bathmats, tea towels, hand towels etc.

Consumables
Basic consumable items are provided for your assistance as a starter for your visit with us. Eg: coffee, tea bags for each guest, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner & bodywash & dishwashing liquid, these are provided for short stay (1-2 days). Any additional items you require will need to be purchased by you

Laundry
The laundry has a Samsung front load washing machine and 2 external shared clothes lines

Pet Friendly
We are a pet friendly property and you are welcome to bring your dog (10kgs or less). Please note the yard is NOT fully fenced and secure for a wandering dog. You are expected to clean up after your pet please and you must notify us that you are bringing your pet on booking our place we do not welcome puppies or unhouse trained pets. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, cushions or bedding.

We have free high speed internet access for you to use and enjoy. The details for this will be sent to you on your booking day or you can access them through airbnb.

Guests have sole and exclusive use of the apartment.
The 2 washing lines and 2 picnic tables and 2 x BBQ are shared with all 4 units.
The garages are not for public use, which are separate and may be accessed by maintenance/cleaning staff on some occasions.
We have a lawnmower man that may need to come around to the house and mow the lawns if you are staying for a long stay or during peak seasons.

This is one of four flats, so the backyard and garden facilities are shared. The units are located down Childers Road, which can be noisy during peak periods. There is plenty of parking available on the road. We’ve double-glazed the windows, which makes a noticeable difference in sound insulation when you enter the unit, allowing you to see out while maintaining your privacy during the day. If you prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle of Gisborne, please contact us for assistance in finding a more suitable property. _

Guests who have not checked out by 10 AM and/or have not arranged a late check-out will instantly be charged a full night's accommodation. If belongings need to be moved, an additional fee will apply. This is necessary as we require sufficient time to prepare the property for the next guests, and delays place incredible stress on our staff.
Late check-out may be available depending on bookings and housekeeping schedules. Please contact Waikanae Beach Motel before your departure to check availability.
For check-outs after 12 PM this must be arranged and an extra night's fee will apply and must be paid via Airbnb by the night before. If unpaid, housekeeping will be scheduled for the regular 10 AM check-out time to ensure the property is ready for the next guest.

The cleaning fee covers two-three cleaners who refresh linens and top up supplies. If you stay longer, you'll find our properties are much cheaper per night. For one-night stays, we need to pass on the cost, as we still incur the same level of preparation and cleaning as for longer stays. We appreciate it if you can leave cleaned towels in the washing machine for the cleaners to hang in the sunshine, but it’s not required. Please ensure the property is left tidy.
