Stay in a historic Catskills farmhouse inspired by modern art, where each room reflects a different artist. Located on the La Grange estate’s 11 private acres, the home blends original hardwood floors, farmhouse doors, and classic architecture with a playful creative aesthetic. Guests can explore meadow trails, relax in hammock areas, gather around the fire pit, or wander the orchard — all just 35 minutes from Windham, Hunter, and Belleayre.

Incredible character and artistic design greet you as you arrive at the Farmhouse at La Grange. Approaching from the back of the property, you’re welcomed by a sprawling lawn, manicured garden beds, and rows of apple trees that frame the historic home.

The experience begins in the bright solarium entry, a beautiful three-season sunroom that creates a seamless indoor-outdoor living space. From here, original stable doors open into the main living room — a warm and inviting space with a 70-inch TV, comfortable seating, and a fireplace for cozy Catskills evenings.

Throughout the home you’ll notice restored original hardwood floors, historic architectural details, and a playful mix of mid-century modern design and bold modern art. The result feels like a historic farmhouse with the personality of a small art gallery.

The formal dining room and large country kitchen create a natural gathering space for meals, while the solarium and outdoor patio areas make it easy to move between indoor and outdoor living.

A first-floor master bedroom — The Matisse Room — offers a queen bed and easy access for guests who prefer fewer stairs, along with a full bathroom featuring a large vanity and shower.

Upstairs, a bright hallway with a small workstation leads to four additional bedrooms, each inspired by a different modern artist.

The grounds

Step outside and the full La Grange estate begins to reveal itself.

The FarmHouse is located a seven-minute drive from Stamford, New York, a beautiful town with all of the amenities you would need for your stay including a grocery store, Walgreens pharmacy, liquor store, ice cream shops, restaurants, coffee shops, farm stands, and more.

On the drive to Stamford, not more than five minutes from The FarmHouse, you’ll come across a beautiful lake which is open for boating year-round. Belleayre, Hunter and Wyndham mountains are about 35 minutes drive away, all along major roads that are plowed 24/7, making us an ideal getaway for not just warm weather fun, but cultural attractions, ski events and more!
