Among poplar, larch and chestnut woods, at over 1000 m, stands the ancient hamlet of Piana Fontana, reachable by car and close to Alagna.
Here, where time seems to have stopped, is Ca' Scocc, a charming 17th-century house made of stone and wood, restored in keeping with tradition, with eco-friendly materials, and equipped with all comforts.
Arranged over several floors, it offers numerous indoor and outdoor spaces (large wooden lobbies), which allow you to dine outside and enjoy the view.
The space
The house, at guests' complete disposal and with 2 private and independent entrances, is a typical ancient Valsesian mountain house, arranged on several floors.
On the ground floor there are: a bathroom with shower, the wine cellar and the laundry room with washing machine and the barn.
On the first floor, with access from the lobby, there is a fully equipped kitchen and the old living room with a fireplace, sofa and dining table.
On the second floor, with access from the lobby, there are two bedrooms: the "green" room, equipped with two single beds (which can be joined together to form a double bed) and a TV; the "lavender" room, with a double bed (and a possible, if required, child's bed), a TV and a small study with a desk.
From this room, a staircase leads to the third floor attic.
The attic is all in larch wood and exposed stone. Here, on a charming and panoramic mezzanine with windows, there are two other beds (single or double) for a unique and charming experience.
In the lower part, there is a living room with a large window, pellet stove, sofa, TV, equipped kitchen and a bathroom with a shower cabin.

Neighborhood highlights
The Piana Fontana Hamlet, the most characteristic of all the Alte hamlets of Molliesi, is an unspoiled corner, consisting of a group of stone and wood houses, all dating back to the 16th/17th centuries, a unique and enchanting place where time seems to have stopped.
Ca' Scocc is located in the center of this cluster of houses and its uniqueness is given by the large lobbie (covered wooden balconies) that allow you to enjoy the outdoors in comfort and that run along the first, second and third floors.
Several trails start from the hamlet, catering to every type and level of hiker.
Behind the hamlet, large cliffs await climbing enthusiasts.
Along the Sesia River, you can practice rafting, canoeing and kayaking.
A restored and functioning 17th-century water mill is part of the hamlet.

My work: Refugee Manager
Hi! I'm Maddalena, I'm 31 years old and I manage the "La Baita Alpe Seccio" Refuge in Valsesia. With my parents, we decided to give new life to "Ca' Scocc". Our desire is to offer an all-round experience with respect to the mountain environment that surrounds us and that will also surround you if you have the pleasure of taking a vacation in which the house will not only be a place to sleep, but a cozy refuge, furnished according to the local style and in which you can savor the mountain, just as we like it!
