This home is in a scenic location.

Charming 1 bedroom, 1 bath apartment with a full kitchen & dining area in the lower half of a house nestled in Cascade, CO. There is a hot tub in the back yard. You can hike out the door to the top of Pike's Peak. Lots of wildlife in the area such as deer and black bears.

Pets are welcome. Please pay the pet fee when booking.

The space
THIS IS HALF OF A HOUSE.

The home is split into a duplex, with separate entrances, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. You will have exclusive access to the hot tub during your stay. We don't usually run into guests during their stay, but we do live upstairs, so you might see us coming or going.

We WILL NOT issue refunds to guests who fail to read and understand that they DO NOT get the entire house.

Guest access
The apartment has a bedroom,(which can also be used as an office space), a full bathroom with a shower, toilet, double sinks, and a makeup counter, a living room with two couches, a Smart TV, games, and books, and a full kitchen with electric range, oven, full-sized fridge with freezer, and dishwasher, and a dining area.

There is a washer and dryer in the kitchen (If the washer doesn't start, try putting something heavy on the front right corner of the lid to keep the latch from tripping the cycle stop.)

Guest parking is in the lower horseshoe-shaped parking area.

Guests also have exclusive access to a grill, a patio, and a hot tub in the backyard.

Other things to note
PARKING & UNLOADING
Guest parking is in the horseshoe-shaped lot at the bottom of the property. Guests are welcome to pull into the driveway to load and unload their vehicles.

***THE DRIVEWAY IS VERY STEEP!***
Please do not attempt to go up the driveway without 4-wheel drive and unless you are comfortable backing down. We can usually make ourselves available for guests with mobility considerations who are not able or comfortable taking the driveway. Please let us know ahead of time so we can be ready to help.

PETS
We love hosting your furry friends, but we do require that you pay the pet fee. Please indicate if you plan to bring a pet(s) when booking your reservation, and the fee will automatically be added to your total. The yard is not fenced, and there is often wildlife in the area. Please keep that in mind when bringing your pet.

Loud or aggressive pets will not be tolerated. We offer pet-sitting services if you plan on leaving your pet alone for more than a few hours. You will be held responsible for any damage caused by, or excessive cleaning required as a result of, your pet.

CHILDREN
Children are also welcome, but we strongly recommend that families with toddlers take extra care, as the grounds around the home are not fenced and can be quite rugged depending on the weather. Children under 16 are not allowed in the hot tub without an adult supervising. Children who are not yet potty trained are NOT ALLOWED in the hot tub.

HOT TUB ACCESS
The hot tub is on the East side of the house, up the hill and behind the rental. There are some stone steps and path lights, but the path up to the hot tub can be particularly tricky.
Guests who do not wish to use the stone steps up the hill can take exterior stairs on the West side of the house and walk around the deck. (You'll go past our living room, just so you aren't surprised.)
