The space
This property was created to help facilitate a deeper connection with a unique experience and try your hand at living a simpler life....without sleeping on the ground.
While your comfort is a top priority for us, know that this is still a camping experience.
Our dome provides a cozy atmosphere, and it's worth mentioning that you may hear and see neighbors during your stay. Just a heads up, it isn't a remote setting.
Every season provides a totally different experience!
Spring is perfect for a quieter getaway and listening to the rain hit the dome and visiting local hot springs.
In the summer months, you can try your hand at foraging for the coveted morel mushroom or spend an afternoon huckleberry picking.
Or take in the crisp fall air while relaxing in the Adirondack chairs around the fire pit tucked into massive boulders while watching the chipmunks play.
In the winter, you'll feel like you're in a real-life snow globe! While winter camping takes a bit more preparation and work (ie. loading firewood, splitting wood for kindling, and stoking the fire throughout the night), it is well worth it to snowshoe on quiet trails, cozy up while drinking hot cocoa, enjoy a winter sauna session, or watching the snow come down.
****NOTE ON DOME LIFE IN THE WINTER****
Please be prepared for very cold weather. Dress warmly! The dome is still a tent and will not be the same temperature level as a cabin/house.
Cascade Dome has everything you need to try year-round elevated camping.
The dome features:
• Comfy king-size memory foam mattress and linens
• Wood-fired stove
• Sauna with essential oils
• French press, local Idaho roasted coffee, and kettle
• Small camp stove for heating water
• 12-ft panoramic window
You'll also find a clean porta-potty is at the top of the hill.
Please note the maximum occupancy of 2 people. We do not make exceptions to that rule.
Bugs, dirt, and elements are part of the experience.
Guest access
Cascade Dome sits on 1 acre. Please help us respect our neighbors by staying on our property and not wandering on private land.
Stay on decks and wooden pathways for your safety.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
Our roads are unpaved; they are a combination of dirt, gravel, ice and/or snow packed and not always plowed. A 4x4 or AWD with clearance is required for year-round access; Snow tires or chains are recommended during the winter season (mid-November through early April).
We do not refund for inability to access. If you get stuck, contact us immediately so we can get you the contact information to a local tow company. Recovery is at your expense.
Other things to note
Our dome provides a cozy atmosphere, and it's worth mentioning that you may hear and see neighbors during your stay. Just a heads up, it isn't a remote/isolated setting!
