Meticulously restored to its original charm, the two bedroom apartment is an independent section of Casa Melangolo, a XIX century villa surrounded by lemon and olive tree groves. With stunning views over mount Vesuvius and the bay of Naples, it's a space to slow down and connect with nature. The property offers two swimming pools, a sauna, outdoor spaces for aperitivo and dinners on request.

The space
Located in the quiet hillside area of Priora, just 6 km from Sorrento, Casa Melangolo is accessible via a narrow road originally built by the Romans to connect Sorrento with nearby towns. The apartment is an independent part of Casa Melangolo, a large family villa where the owners live and work. The apartment features a private entrance to the dining room and fully equipped kitchen. There's a cosy living room with a fireplace and access to the private balcony, which offers stunning views over the casa's courtyard and of the charming natural landscape. The two bedrooms have king size beds, each ensuite bathrooms with showers.

The surrounding house grounds include a large lemon grove, olive trees, local and exotic fruit trees, an organic vegetable garden and a chicken coop. There is an outdoor kitchen, BBQ and wooden-fired pizza oven and a pergolato with a dining table, which guests can use on request. The property has two pools, a canteen with indoor kitchen, a pantry and wine cellar, a sauna, and a private little gym.

We don’t write down house rules – these are based on common sense and mutual respect. :)

Just a few things to note:

All outdoor spaces, as well as the canteen, sauna and gym are shared with the owners and other guests.

You can use the two swimming pools anytime during the day, but if you wish to use them at night time, please ask us. Also bare in mind that the pools are 1.20m deep and, by law, don't require a lifeguard. Pools have sun beds, umbrellas and an outdoor shower.

The small gym is always open to work out at your own time and pace, feel free to use yoga mats anywhere you wish.

The sauna can be used at no extra cost but on request, as we will show you how to turn it on and off. A private massage can also be arranged on request at time of booking.

The kitchen canteen will be open on request for snacks and aperitivo or to grab a bottle of wine or any other drinks from the pantry, giving guests the freedom to enjoy them when and where they wish. We just ask to leave a note of it :)

The outdoor kitchen, BBQ, pizza oven and pergola with dining table can be used for lunch or dinner for which we can help organise it beforehand or at your arrival.

The large garden surrounding the property offers plenty of privacy and spaces to relax.

Other things to note
If you are travelling by car, we strongly advise that you to rent a small car as the roads in Sorrento and Amalfi Coast are quite narrow. The road to get to / from Casa Melangolo is a bit narrow but you can drive any car as long as it’s a maximum of 1.98cm wide, just be a little careful. :) Do not rent a van or camper as it won’t fit.
Casa Melangolo offers free parking on the premises.


Moreover, we have three beautiful dogs: Winston, a border collie, Abby, a german shepherd and Marvel, a golden retriever. They are our family and our four legged guardians, living freely around the property. They are sweet and well educated.
