A contemporary stone house of 250 sqm, on a plot of 600 sqm, it was built according to the traditional Macedonian architectural style and completed in 2011. The dominant architectural features are stone and wood. The interior of the house is tastefully designed and features all modern conveniences. Our guests should be aware of the fact that the house was not built as a guest house but as a private residence.

The house consists of two levels. As it is built on a slope, both levels have access to the surrounding garden. On the upper level there is a sun-filled living room with a fireplace, wooden floor and comfortable sofas. The large plate glass window offers a beautiful, uninterrupted view of the mountains and the Valia River below. Directly off the living room are a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom. On the loft level there is also a comfortable master bedroom which overlooks the mountains.
Wooden steps lead from the loft room to the living room with the fireplace with the three rooms to the same level all looking to Mt. Kaimaktsalan, and then down to the lower level, the cellar with the fireplace. All rooms have wooden floors, and the loft is wooden-paneled.
The house can accommodate up to 12 people.

The house is surrounded by a garden grass with many stone terraces and shady areas for relaxing and dining. A stone pathway through the trees below the house leads to a peaceful spot with a wooden bench which is perfect for reading and bird watching. In the yard there is a stone BBQ, a stone oven and a wooden table. There are also stone and wooden benches. From the yard there is access to the dining room in the cellar with bathroom and shower all with great view to the Mt Voras-Kaimaktsalan.

The large glass surfaces offer a beautiful, uninterrupted view of the mountains of Kaimaktsalan and the river of the 'Valia' valley. Just outside the living room is a well-equipped kitchen overlooking the courtyard and the village and a bathroom. On the attic level there is also a comfortable master bedroom overlooking the mountains.
Wooden stairs lead from the attic room to the living room with the fireplace with the three rooms on the same level all facing Mount Voras-Kaimaktsalan, and then to the lower level, the cellar with the fireplace. All rooms have wooden floors and the attic has wooden panelling.

The Village
Agios Dimitrios - Kedrona is situated at the western end of the Edesseos Valley, at an altitude of 800 m. It's the best mountainous option to watch the clear top of Mountain Voras-Kaimaktsalan, the 3rd top peak in Greece, 2524m. Its rare flora and fauna species are protected by the Voras-Kaimaktsalan National Park System. Agios Dimitrios is identified as an "interesting mountain settlement". There are a lot of stories about the place, especially about the Vlachs. The village has only one café and tavern. The mountain paths are just 150m away from the house and there is a direct access from the house through a pathway (5 minutes on foot!!). Agios Dimitrios-Kedrona is strategically located in the middle of the Mountainous Pella area, allowing easy access to all the main trekking paths E4 & E6 and places of interest (Voras Ski Center 35', Waterfalls of Edessa 15', Lake Vegoritis 10', Wetlands of Agra 5', Thermal Spa Pozar 35', Agios Athanasios 20'). Ask our advice for your daily program.
If your stay is 7+ days you could have the possibility to visit the cities of Bitola-Ohrid-Kavadarci (North Macedonia) & Korce-Pogradec (Albania) and Florina-Kastoria-Kozani-Veria-Naousa (Greece). The cross-border points are very close (50')
The closest bus stop is 4km for using public transportation.
