THE REGION:
To the east are the sublime creeks and beaches of the "Côte Bleue" as far as Marseille. A tourist train from La Couronne / Carro SNCF station 2 km away will take you either to Martigues, the Venice of Provence or in 30 minutes to L’Estaque by the coast overlooking these magnificent creeks. A maritime shuttle will take you from the port of L'Estaque to the old port of Marseille, offering you splendid views of the bay and the If and Frioul Islands, Notre-Dame de la Garde Basilica, the Mucem museum, "La Major" cathedral, the Palais du Pharo, and the old port of Marseille. Departing from the old port, other shuttles will take you to the islands.
