The Carabane is a tiny house on wheels. Built by our own hands, it found a place behind our barn, among oaks and willows.
Tiny, yes, but it's got all you need. Soft bedding to rest your thoughts. A kitchen for all things tasty. A view of the fields. A woodstove to warm your heart and hands. A library with the essence. And the odd nightingale for a soundtrack.
The Carabane was built as a writer's den, but offers a place to whoever needs the simplicity of 21m2 and a view.
The space
Simplicity, lots of wood, and an end result that doesn't really say whether it's old or new. Those were our criteria building the Carabane.
The luxury is in the time being slowed down, not the number of square metres. And yet you have a kitchen with everything you need, a Japanese ofuro seated shower, an eco toilet, a mezzanine to doze off and a whole meadow, all to yourself.
Guest access
The building is one open, lofty space with a kitchen, a bedroom, bathroom and a dining area. The eco toilet has a seperate entrance, allowing you some privacy.
Other things to note
Children welcome — the futon on the mezzanine can fit two.

Where you’ll be
De Pinte, Vlaams Gewest, Belgium
Zevergem is one of those villages you didn't think exist anymore. The church, the pub, the castle, and fields all around. Fifteen minutes by car will take you to Ghent, a fifteen minute walk will take you to the Scheldt marshes, willows and clay pits. Like walking in one of those typical Flemish paintings.
