Hiding in the attic of a historic building near District Six Museum, the open-plan loft is home to the largest collection of feline artifacts and cat memorabilia in Africa! With Cape Town’s best coffee, galleries, fine-dining eateries and high-end cocktail bars all on your doorstep, this is East City living at its best!
The space
Hidden in the roof of a historic tea warehouse and print factory in East City, lies a sky parlor unlike any!
Kick back like a cat on an urban safari as you spot feline fandom hiding in the most unusual places throughout the enormous apartment.
The 120-square-meter open-plan loft is light and airy, with original hardwood floors, high ceilings, exposed brick walls, and industrial steel beams framing the space. Floor-to-ceiling stacking doors open onto a sunny deck and balconies, offering a seamless indoor-outdoor feel.
The space comfortably accommodates up to 3 guests:
1 x King-size bed
1 x Double sleeper couch in the living area
The loft seamlessly flows from the bedroom to the dining area and lounge. The kitchen nook is fully equipped for your needs.
The enclosed bathroom is fitted with a large corner bathtub and a frameless glass shower. The unique, one-of-a-kind corrugated swinging "Dirk" door adds to the quirky charm.
A walk-in closet and storage area behind the bathroom provides more than enough space for clothes and luggage, and a washing machine is available for your convenience.
Get your best "catnap" or "cat stretch" on the upper patio, complete with a giant indoor tree and other plants, native to South Africa.
Bath like a cat; without water(!) when you kick back in the custom Victorian Cast Iron Tub designed to serve as a couch on the outdoor seating area of the upper deck.
At dusk and down, take in the hypnotic light show as the sun bounces off the cityscape like a cat chasing a laser.

Situated in the East City, with its vibey nightlife and lively party scene, the Cat Condo is where the cool cats park off when they want to play like a city cat in Cape Town.
The location of the Cat Condo falls under the Cape Town Central City Improvement District. The area is as safe as any other major city. You can walk around the neighbourhood during the day and night. Should you feel unsafe or get lost around town, any time of the day or night, look for the CCID security guys who work for the city and its citizens. They are always willing to assist. The work of the CCID Safety & Security is a key reason the South African Police Service (Cape Town) regards Cape Town Central City as the safest CBD in the country.
