Experience life in rural Costa Rica at this beautiful farm in the Talamanca cloud forest. The property consists of a rustic cabin, four tent platforms, a bamboo kitchen, an outhouse, a covered shower, and direct access to the Rio Vereh.

Your stay includes a typical breakfast, lunch, and dinner prepared by a local cook. Bring your own flashlight, blanket, sleeping pad, tent and other camping gear.

The farm is accessible by a footbridge. The tent platforms are a five minute walk from the road.

The space
Set on 200 forested acres, the farm offers visitors a unique opportunity to engage fully with nature. Hike on trails with that are rich with the flora and fauna of the Talamanca region; swim and bathe in the clean, refreshing water of the Rio Vereh; and enjoy wholesome, homemade vegetarian meals prepared by a local cook. The property includes four private, covered tent platforms, each measuring approximately 400 square feet, one open-air bamboo dining pavilion, an outhouse, and a cabin with a kitchen and shower for daytime use.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the tent platforms, bamboo pavilion, outhouse, river, and trails. The cabin is available for daytime use of the shower and porch. The cook sleeps in the cabin at night.

Other things to note
Mari and Manuel will welcome you to the property and help you make the most of your stay. Born and raised in Vereh, Mari and Manuel are extremely knowledgeable about the area.

Laundry service is included. Clothes are hand washed and hung to dry.

Horseback riding and guided hikes can be arranged after you arrive.

Water is untreated spring water. This is the water used for cooking and drinking. This is typical in Vereh. Ask Manuel for a tour to see how it works.

The dry season in Vereh is from February to March. Rain is is rare during these two months. Afternoon rain is expected every afternoon during the rest of the year. There are times when it rains for multiple days in a row. Don't be afraid to get wet!

Vereh is a quiet rural Costa Rican community in the Talamanca mountains. Our property is at the end of a dirt road. The people who live in Vereh farm coffee, horses, and cattle. There are numerous unmarked foot and horse trails that wind through the steep mountains.
