Stay in the Aspen View Cottage in Boulder, WY. Conveniently located for wilderness access 16 miles down WY Hwy 353 between Scab Creek Trailhead and Big Sandy Trailhead in the southern Wind River Mountains. You will have the opportunity to access some of the most beautiful trails in the world or simply enjoy the cottage and its stunning views of Aspen Butte. If you want to bring your horses, the house includes a loafing shed with two panel holding pens and 40-acres fenced with barbed wire.

The space
This is a private cottage on 40-acres. The cottage is a lovely home that we hope you will enjoy. With space for horses as well as space for your dogs and children to roam. The house does not have A/C as it is at 8000 ft elevation, but more importantly, it does have heat that comes in handy every month of the year. The house does a fantastic job of pulling the breeze during the day and keeping you warm and cozy at night.

Guest access
You can access pretty much all of the house. We do have the attic locate where the furnace is located. There is a utility closet that you have access to, but we do require none of the utilities in there (tankless hot water heater, wifi, and solar inverter) are not touched. Otherwise, enjoy!

What makes my home unique: Off-grid and access to the wilderness
For guests, I always: Provide additional add-ons like dinner
We are just a couple of people who raised our kids in the wilds of Wyoming and want to share the beauty of our great outdoors with you. We are avid trailriders and high-country packers with horses and mules. We pretty much disappear at the end of September for elk season!
