Discover our rental in Guayabo de Turrialba, between the Turrialba Volcano and the Archaeological Monument. The cabin, a hidden gem in a coffee plantation, immerses you in Costa Rican flavors. Wake up to river sounds and the symphony of the forest. Whether you're looking for adventure or tranquility, find the perfect blend of nature and comfort for an unforgettable getaway. Experience Guayabo de Turrialba like never before.

The space
The studio-type cabin is fully equipped with all the amenities you may need. The bathroom is stocked with toiletries and the kitchen has all the necessary utensils and appliances to prepare delicious meals. In addition, there is a cozy sofa and dining area where you can relax or enjoy your meals in style, as well as work or share with board games.

Imagine waking up every morning to stunning views of the Sierra de Talamanca mountains while savoring a cup of freshly brewed coffee on your private balcony. This outdoor space is perfect for relaxing, working in the afternoons, or simply enjoying the tranquility of the nature that surrounds you.

But that's not all. As a guest at our property, you'll also have access to a ranch designed for a variety of activities, a riverside deck for quiet moments, and trails that wind through the property, allowing you to explore and appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Guest access
It is possible to walk all the trails on the property and use all the infrastructure we have available, the trails, the ranch and the riverside deck. Coffee production areas are part of an agricultural production infrastructure, so they may not be of much interest to guests. However, it is possible to tour the entire property and enjoy the scenic beauty it offers.

To ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, it is important to note that walking through the coffee plantation or venturing alone in areas near the river at night is not allowed. The natural beauty of our farm also involves the presence of wild animals that could pose a risk. We strongly recommend our guests enjoy the designated trails and common areas during the day, and always accompanied by an authorized guide if they wish to explore beyond the established areas. This ensures a safe and enjoyable experience, allowing you to appreciate the lush nature that surrounds us with complete peace of mind. The safety of our visitors is our priority, and we are committed to providing a welcoming and protected environment for your enjoyment.

Other things to note
In the cabin, we provide some board games, a TV with access to streaming services, and internet for your use. If we are there, we can gladly offer you a tour of the farm and an explanation of the different varieties of coffee we produce on the property and the process of preparing them.

We also know of many places around that you can visit and get to know, such as:

Turrialba Volcano National Park: Discover the captivating charm of the Turrialba Volcano, a living testimony to the power and beauty of nature. This active stratovolcano, nestled in the Central Cordillera, invites visitors to witness its majestic presence. After its last eruption in 2016, Turrialba now offers a safe but exciting experience, surrounded by the lush biodiversity of the Turrialba Volcano National Park. Stroll along scenic trails, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and marvel at the smoking summit from panoramic viewpoints.

Guayabo Archaeological Monument: An archaeological jewel just 10 minutes away. This ancient site offers a fascinating insight into pre-Columbian life, showcasing intricate stone carvings, mysterious petroglyphs, and meticulously designed aqueducts. Stroll through the remains of a civilization that thrived in the past, where earthen mounds and ceremonial structures whisper stories of a bygone era. The Guayabo Archaeological Monument is a testament to the advanced engineering and cultural sophistication of Costa Rica's indigenous peoples, and offers a captivating experience for both history enthusiasts and curious travelers.

Finca Agroturística La Luz: Right next door you can find a complete tourist experience at Finca Agroturística La Luz, in Guayabo, Turrialba. You can learn about milk production and see different animals on their working farm while enjoying the breathtaking views that surround our property.

This sustainable farm adopts the "farm-to-table" philosophy and grows a wide variety of organic products and herbs. The farm's rustic charm extends to its culinary experiences, where visitors can savor exquisitely prepared meals from the day's harvest.

Turrialba Waterfalls: Discover Turrialba's natural beauty by visiting the nearby waterfalls. We recommend visiting two beautiful waterfalls: La Muralla Waterfall and Las Trillizas Waterfall in Santa Cruz de Turrialba.

CATIE Botanical Garden: The Tropical Agricultural Research and Education Center, commonly known as CATIE, is an international institution dedicated to research and teaching in agriculture and natural resource management. Located near Turrialba (Costa Rica), CATIE plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development, environmental conservation, and agricultural innovation in the tropics.
