The space
The house is situated in a small, south facing development with magnificent sea views, just a short distance from the picturesque town of Salobreña, on the Costa Tropical of the Granada Province in Spain.

The house is accessed from the pretty, small square in the centre of the community, and which is decorated with flowering plants and a beautiful fountain. The main door opens out on to the top level of the house where the small hall leads to the sitting/dining room with A/C, the independent kitchen and a service toilet with washbasin and WC.

The large French windows occupy the full width of this living space, creating an immediate impact with the stunning views of the sea, the coast, and across the bay to Salobreña itself with the Moorish castle on the hill. The windows also give access to the terrace, where it is possible to sit outside to enjoy these wonderful views while sipping a glass of good Spanish wine.

The living room is a very a pleasant place for relaxing, with two sofas, comfy chairs and a coffee table, a dining table and 6 chairs. There is a ceiling fan and an air-conditioning unit that both cools and warms (for winter). There is a TV with international channels and wi-fi Internet.

The kitchen includes an oven, electric hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, toaster, coffee percolator, kettle, and all the crockery, cutlery and utensils needed for cooking and self-catering.

There are two bedrooms downstairs, both with two single beds, although they can be pushed together and made up as a double if necessary. Each bedroom has a window with sea views and a very narrow balcony, and both rooms have fully functioning air-conditioning. On this floor there is also a bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet.

On the ground floor is another bedroom, also with A/C, with double bed and a full ensuite bathroom with shower. Access to the incorporated garage is from this floor, where there is a washing machine.

The house has air conditioning in all bedrooms and the living room, and a flat-screen TV with access to English and Spanish channels, as well as other channels from all over the world.

The garage can be used for a medium-sized car. Please park tidily if you leave large cars outside.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the full house (living room, kitchen, 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms, garage, terrace, stunning sea views) and also the community pool, small square and other common areas)

Where you’ll be

Salobreña, Andalucía, Spain

Salobreña is a charming town located on the southern coast of Spain. This picturesque town is perched on a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offering breathtaking views of the coastline and the surrounding mountains.

Urbanización Costa Aguilera Mar is just 5 minutes away from the town, and is a small community perched on a hill above the rocky coast. Sandy beaches are just a short drive away, and this area offers plenty of opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, and water sports, such as windsurfing and paddleboarding.

The Sierra Nevada National Park is just a short drive away, where you can explore some of the most spectacular mountain landscapes in Spain. You may also wish to visit the Alpujarra, on the south slopes of the Sierra Nevada, and wonderfully described in Chris Stewart's best-seller "Driving Over Lemons".

Just 5 minutes drive by car, Salobreña has a wonderful seafront promenade, with typical beach restaurantes, cafés and bars. Driving in the other direction, towards Almuñécar, we can highly recommend the Playa el Capitán beach where you can sample a delicious paella at the Costacabria Restaurant.

BEACHES & RESTAURANTS:
For starters, I would highly recommend taking the car and driving down (10 minutes) to Salobreña and the Paseo Marítimo, or seafront promenade.

Either side of the "Peñón" (a rocky outcrop that juts out into the sea), there is a good beach, with the Playa de la Guardia, to the west of the Peñón being a little less developed.

The long beach to the east of the Peñón is bordered by the promenade, and populated by several, very good "chiringuito" restaurants, such as La Charca, Chiringuito Flores, Casa Emilio and others.

Restaurante El Peñón is built into the rock itself, and provides excellent views across the bay and to the beaches. Directly opposite, La Bahía is to be recommended for fresh fish, marisco and "tropical" salads.

It's also well worth driving a little further, just 20 minutes in the direction of Málaga, to explore the Playa de Cabria, and the Playa del Capitán. These two beaches are sandier and less popular, especially on weekdays. They are joined by a walkway across the rocks, with the Capitán beach being the sandier and less developed.

On the Playa de Cabria, there are a couple of nice restaurantes, the Tito Yayo and the Costacabria, where you can sample some delicious paellas and fresh fish.
