Please note that this home uses well water, which is very common in the Smoky Mountains area. Because of the natural geology of the region, the water may occasionally have a slight sulfur smell. The scent can come and go and may be more noticeable to some guests than others.

While the smell can sometimes be unfamiliar, the water is completely safe to drink, cook with, and bathe in. Most homes and cabins in this area use well water, so this is a normal characteristic of mountain properties.

We simply like to make our guests aware in advance so there are no surprises during your stay.
