Other things to note
This property is owned and professionally operated by Buckeye Devils LLC. By booking, you agree to the following house rules, which are in place to protect the home, the community, and future guests.

Winter Access & Road Conditions – Please Read Carefully

This home is located at the top of the mountain (~4,500 ft elevation). While the main county road is plowed regularly, the final two access roads (Ski View → Buckeye) are very steep, lightly maintained, and plowed infrequently during winter weather.

Important winter conditions to understand:

The town does not salt these roads and often uses gravel only.

During snow or ice events, these roads may not be plowed for extended periods, including entire days.

AWD/4WD is strongly recommended, and snow chains or studded tires may be required.

The town requires AWD/4WD during winter weather.

Vehicles without proper traction can and do get stuck.

There is no permitted roadside parking if you are unable to reach the house.

Leaving a vehicle on the road is not allowed.

Any alternative parking (such as at Hawksnest) is at the guest’s discretion and subject to their policies.

By booking, you acknowledge that winter access is weather-dependent, that you are responsible for arriving with an appropriate vehicle and traction equipment, and that no refunds will be issued for weather-related access issues.

Pets

No pets are permitted.

Unauthorized pets may result in cancellation of the reservation and applicable cleaning fees, processed through Airbnb.

Service / Assistance Animals

The property is treated by a licensed third-party pest control company.

Rodent control products used on the property may be harmful or fatal to animals.

Guests traveling with a service or assistance animal acknowledge and assume all associated risks. Buckeye Devils LLC cannot be held liable for injury or harm related to pest control treatments.

Septic System

Only toilet paper may be flushed.

Wipes, feminine hygiene products, paper towels, and similar items must be disposed of in the trash.

Improper use may result in damage and associated repair charges.

Kitchen Use

Please prevent food from entering the kitchen sink.

Use the provided drain trap and rinse plates before loading the dishwasher.

Heating

The thermostat operating range is 68–75°F.

The system will disable if set above 75°F to protect the equipment.

The basement has some ducted heat but will fall into the low 60s during winter and there is no way to raise it higher. Therefore the game rooms can get cold.

Security & Monitoring

One exterior security camera monitors the driveway and road only.

Two interior motion sensors are connected to the home’s smart hub/security system.

No interior video or audio recording devices are present.

Quiet Enjoyment

This home is intended for responsible adults and families.

No parties, events, or large gatherings are permitted.

Violations may result in early termination of the stay in accordance with Airbnb policies.

Electric Vehicles

EV charging is not permitted on the property.

Trash & Disposal:
There is no trash pickup at the house. Guests are responsible for disposing of trash at the local convenience center.
The primary drop-off location is the Watauga County Solid Waste & Recycling Convenience Center, located on Highway 105 toward Boone, approximately ½ mile on the left after leaving Seven Devils Road, in front of Grandfather Winery.
Hours:
• Monday / Wednesday / Friday: 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understand, and agree to comply with these house rules.
