Come to the farm...unwind in the beautifully renovated cottage, enjoy a drink on the deck overlooking the paddocks or stroll down to the billabong for a picnic.

BROKEN RIVER FARM COTTAGE is just far enough away from town to completely relax and embrace the slower pace of country life.

We also offer BIRCH COTTAGE in central Shepparton for your stay.

The space
The cottage is cozy, with everything you will need. Although freshly renovated, the cottage retains it character with original pine floorboards, high ceilings, lead light doors and is decorated with many treasured antiques.

Modern comforts include reverse cycle air conditioners in each bedroom and living area, fireplace, stainless steel appliances and luxurious linen bedding.

The yard is large and fenced, with a swing set for the kids. The Broken River and farm billabong are 200 metres walk from the cottage. The farm driveway is several kms long, ensuring plenty of privacy and security. Undercover parking and access to a lockable shed are available on request.

Guest access
The cottage is all yours. You will be avidly observed by two ponies and a occasionally a herd of cows but the only visitors you will get will be from the farm cat, Marble.

Other things to note
The cottage is on a working farm - you are welcome to go for a walk but please ensure all gates are left as you found them. Ensure dogs are on a leash if outside the house yard. Please don’t approach the cows - especially when they have calves.

Depending on the season and amount of recent rain, the farm landscape may be green or dry.

Electronic Vehicle (EV) charging via standard 240v plug is charged at $10 per day. Please notify us before charging your vehicle.

Neighborhood highlights

East Shepparton is a rural community of small acreages and orchards, located to the east of Shepparton. The cottage is 5 minutes to the edge of town and easy to find.

Although only a hop skip and jump to town, essentials are available at the East Shepparton corner store and post office.

Other things of note, the TV reception is occasionally poor quality due to the rural location. Nothing to be done unfortunately.
