10-min drive to Sequoia National Park

This home is near the national park.
Some info has been automatically translated.
In the spring of 1948, a botanist named Sam and his wife settled here, inspired by a dream to live simply and study nature. They built this homestead cabin beside a stream, tucked beneath a canopy of giant trees.

The cabin is a bright & welcoming studio, designed to bring the outdoors in with windows that frame the lush greenery all around. Inside, you'll find a fully equipped kitchen & a full bathroom featuring a soaking tub, perfect for unwinding to the soothing sounds of the flowing stream.

As Featured in Condé Nast Traveler 2023 + 2022 as the Best Cabin near Sequoia Nat'l Park

The property sits on 6 acres. The entrance to your cabin is just past a larger cabin and across a wooden bridge on the other side of the creek. Once you pass over the bridge, you will enter your private oasis.

There are 3 cabins total on the property. Your cabin is private, with its own entrance, yard, and meditation areas. This land is unlike any other in Three Rivers. We enjoy a microclimate due to being tucked away under the foothills and shaded by a canopy of lush plant life.

We are on ancient land here. For thousands of years, the Native Yokuts and early migrants settled due to the abundant valley and mountain resources and the close proximity to the Kaweah River.

This experience is for those who seek something truly unique and crave a deep connection with nature while appreciating a rustic and relaxed atmosphere.

Guest access
As you arrive, you'll be greeted by towering redwood trees. There will be plenty of space to park in the driveway loop and you will be able to access your cabin while getting an immediate rush of the nature that surrounds you.

Other things to note
EXPERIENCE
Welcome to a wild and magical place, where nature is part of the adventure. Though only a few minutes from town, the property feels like a secluded retreat, surrounded by a mini forest. Wildlife is abundant—you may encounter quail, wild turkeys, deer, lizards, snakes, squirrels, and even the occasional Black Bear. This natural habitat is what makes our property so special, and we kindly remind you that refunds will not be issued due to the wildlife. Embrace the uniqueness of this environment and create unforgettable memories.

PET POLICY
For the comfort and safety of all our guests, NO ANIMALS of any kind are allowed. The property is allergy-free due to staff members with severe allergies to animal hair and dander. This poses a significant health risk, so we are unable to make exceptions. A $300 fee per animal, plus any additional cleaning costs, will apply if an animal is found on the property. We sincerely appreciate your understanding.

TRAVEL INSURANCE
We strongly encourage our guests to purchase travel insurance, as we are typically fully booked and cannot offer refunds outside our cancellation policy. Travel insurance can help cover the cost of disrupted travel plans should unexpected issues arise.

THE WATER GARDEN
Enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Water Garden, a serene oasis designed for your relaxation. Feel free to dip your feet in the tranquil waters, but please note that the garden is shallow and not intended for swimming or diving. It is meant to be a calming feature for you to unwind and connect with nature.

EXTRAS & GROCERIES
We’ve prepared thoughtful amenities to enhance your stay:

-Fresh linens and bath towels are provided, with feather-free bedding and pillows for allergen-free comfort.
-Complimentary coffee (whole beans and ground) and herbal artisan teas are available for your enjoyment, along with a stocked pantry of essentials: salt, pepper, and olive oil.

Guests often find it hard to leave once they arrive, so we recommend shopping for groceries before your stay. Save Mart in Visalia offers affordable options, or you can visit the Village Market in town for local convenience.

THE NATIONAL PARKS
The property is just 10-15 minutes from the Ash Mountain entrance of Sequoia National Park, and a scenic 55-minute drive from the awe-inspiring Giant Forest and General Sherman Tree. Explore the wonders of the park and immerse yourself in its natural beauty.

Neighborhood highlights

A simple place where nature is within reach. Where mornings are slow and a symphony of birds commence with the rising sun. Where the water is steady flowing and nothing stays the same. A place of seasons with new experiences in between, where the leaves come and go but the giants stay Evergreen.

We are located at the end of a private road in a lush tree-filled setting. There is nothing like it in Three Rivers.

Downtown is about a 5 minute drive. Sequoia Nat'l Park entrance is 10 minutes away. We are 55 minutes from the Giant Forest.

Because we are in the foothills and remote, cell service can be spotty. Only AT&T and Verizon may work. You'll have WIFI once on the property.
