The space
An unforgettable stay in every season!

Winter:
Ski Martock by day, then come home to fires, movie nights, and quiet evenings by the lake. Snowy views, hot chocolate by the propane fire, and cozy game nights make winter here feel like the perfect cozy escape.

Spring:
Watch the lake and wildlife come back to life. Morning coffee with the birds, quiet forest walks, and fewer crowds at nearby wineries. A peaceful reset as the seasons shift. The perfect time for a work-from-cottage retreat with the fast wifi.

Summer:
Lakefront. chalet. Need we say more? Swim, kayak, paddle board, and spend long days on the dock. This lake is a hidden gem and is surprisingly quiet even in the heat of the summer, so if privacy is what you’re after, you have found THE spot for a summer vacation. Grill on the deck, hang out in a hammock at sunset, and end the night around the fire under the stars. You won’t want to leave the property, but Windsor is only a 20 min drive!

Fall:
Crisp air, glowing valley foliage, and cozy evenings inside. Perfect for wine tastings, using the Ooni pizza oven, fireside chats, and unplugged weekends as the leaves change.

Now to set the scene:

Start your day with a quiet coffee by the lake, mist rising off the water. Head out for lunch at Bent Ridge Winery with valley views, then spend the afternoon skiing at Martock before coming home to warm fires and total calm. Sip hot chocolate by the lakeside propane fire pit, wander the softly lit gardens at night, or stream a show on the bedroom projector. Feeling competitive? Tackle a Hunt A Killer murder mystery before bed, rotated monthly. Designed with comfort and coziness as the top priority, this forest hideaway is welcoming in every season. Perfect for romantic escapes, trips with friends, or a peaceful work retreat. WiFi is strong and tested for Zoom calls and Netflix streaming.

Bedrooms:

1. The Early Bird (Main Floor):
A queen bedroom steps from the kitchen and bathroom. Ideal for early risers who want to sneak down to the lake with a coffee and catch the sunrise.

2. The Night Owl (Second Floor):
The primary bedroom and movie room. Features a queen bed, loveseat, and an 84” projector screen with Chromecast for Netflix, Crave, and Prime. Cozy up solo or invite friends to pile in.

3. The Nest (Second Floor):
Two single beds tucked beneath windows, perfect for kids, friends, or anyone who loves a snug sleeping nook.

Outside:

Relax on the deck with lake views, a BBQ, and patio table for slow meals. Follow the whimsically lit path through gardens to the main fire pit, surrounded by plenty of chairs for long nights under the stars.

A short, winding forest path leads down to your private lakeside deck with Adirondack chairs, loungers, and dock. The lake is quiet with very little motorized traffic, making it ideal for swimming. Two kayaks, one stand-up paddle board and life jackets are provided. Water shoes are recommended because access to the lake is a bit rocky.

Good to Know:

*The trail to the lake is a steep forested path and takes about 90 seconds. Sturdy footwear is recommended, especially in wet or winter conditions. Dock access also requires stepping over large rocks.

Pro tip: pack a cooler so you do not have to hike up and down too often.

*Guests drive approximately 6 minutes on a dirt road to reach the property. The road is graded in spring and fall but can be bumpy at times, depending on the season.

Guest access
You are free to use all bedrooms and rooms in the cottage as desired. The yard, forested path and lake access is also yours to explore.

Other things to note
Follow @bluestonechalet on IG for promos for this lakefront cabin getaway!

*Note that the trail leading down to the lake is a forested path with some large tree roots and is steep in parts so sturdy footwear is recommended on the 90-second journey (200 ft). Access to the dock is a little rocky but there is a beach and boat launch just minutes away if you prefer a sandy beach.

*Guests must drive 6 minutes along a dirt road that can be bumpy in certain seasons (the roads are graded every spring and fall) but potholes can be an issue at times.
