Kayaks & canoes included (unlimited use)—Island‑hop our five magical islands. Wood‑fired Finnish sauna by the sea (add‑on). The space
This private, off-grid cabin is nestled on a 100 acre forested retreat centre. More than just a place to sleep, this location offers an experience - the rugged coastline, ocean access, private hiking trails and five wild islands will appeal to those looking for adventure and nature immersion. Center your stay around the use of the wood-fired Finnish sauna over-looking the ocean. Check with your hosts about fees and schedule.

The Boathouse is a beautiful and unique wooden structure, situated on the ocean's edge, with a woodstove for year-round comfort, a seating area on the ground level, and an upstairs sleeping loft with a balcony.
The stairs are not suitable for those with mobility challenges. As stated in the "Guest safety" section, the Boathouse is not suitable for babies and children.

The space can accommodate three guests - there are two single beds in the 2nd floor loft and a sofa bed in the ground level living room.
The wharf in front of the boathouse, with picnic table, is private during your stay, the surrounding waterfront area is shared with residents and other guests for swimming and boating.

We use unscented laundry detergent and non-toxic cleaning supplies.

**THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY IN THE BOATHOUSE**
The Boathouse has no electricity , it has solar powered lamps and a solar powered adapter to charge phones and laptops. Electricity can be accessed in the shared kitchen and Bentwood Studio.
It is heated by a woodstove only.

**OUR WASHROOM FACILITIES ARE VERY BASIC**
The washroom facilities consist of four new outhouses, one next to the Boathouse, one near the kitchen, and two near the orchard.
The private, outdoor forest shower is a few steps from the Boathouse, it has hot and cold water.

You will have access to a communal kitchen, which is a two-minute walk from the boathouse, it is fully equipped with a fridge, stove top, toaster oven, kettle, pots, dishes and a sink with hot running water. The well water is drinkable.

The Bentwood Studio is an indoor gathering space where guests are welcome to relax, read, access the internet and charge phones. The Lodge is an architectural delight, inspired by First Nations long-house design, it is a peaceful place to meditate or do yoga. It is a shared space where events are held, and is accessible to guests when it is not in use.

Our new, wood-fired Finnish Sauna will add to the relaxation during your stay. There is an additional fee for sauna use, please check with your hosts for fees and schedule. We need at least 12 hours notice to prepare the sauna

There is plenty to do on the property to enhance your stay. Wandering through the 5 km of forest and shoreline trails will feel like you are alone in the wilderness. Pack a lunch and head to one of five, private wild islands that belong to the property, accessible by foot at low tide or by paddle. Go for a swim and bring your mask & snorkel to discover the sea life. Take a self-guided tour through the herb garden featuring over 50 medicinal plants. Or hang out in a hammock by the ocean.

Canoes, kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent for exploring the Jeddore Harbours.

The hosts operate nature retreats and workshops, so there may be other guests on the property, sharing all facilities. Scheduled events such as sauna, sunset harbour cruises, evening bonfires, herb walks and other activities will be posted in the Lodge and made available to Boathouse guests as well.

Guest access
The boathouse is private to our AirBnB guests. The property is a retreat centre with residents and guests. The hosts live in the houses uphill from the boathouse. The rest of the amenities, including the waterfront and shared kitchen and wash areas are shared. There is also a meditation space where you can hang out when it is not being used for events.

When you arrive, you may park next to the studio while you register with your hosts and unload your gear. Then, please park your car in the parking lot a few hundred metres away.

Other things to note
There are friendly dogs on the property, sometimes they are loose. Please let us know if this is a concern for you and we will keep them tied. We have free roaming chickens and Guinea hens; the Guinea hens can be noisy, but don't usually wander near the Boathouse.
The boathouse has no electricity or running water. Both are available in the outdoor kitchen. Wifi and electricity are available in the studio and kitchen.
The beds in the boathouse are up a flight of stairs so this listing is not suitable for those with mobility issues, however there is a sofa bed the ground level.
