Peace and quiet

Some info has been automatically translated.
Peaceful days with a private forest. Enjoy the sound of birds, the sound of the wind, and the flickering of light in the forest from a comfortable distance.

Located at the southern foot of Mt. Yatsugatake at an altitude of 1150 m, it is a place where people who seek the nature and climate of the highlands live, rather than a tourist destination. Spring brings new greenery and buds, cool summers, colorful autumn leaves, and the warmth of a wood stove. There are also plenty of seasonal activities, such as skiing, hiking, river play, hot springs, and Hokuto City, which is surrounded by famous peaks, has many viewpoints where you can enjoy views of Mt. Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, and Mt. Fuji. There is also an abundance of spring water. Please try to find them.

The building was designed and constructed by the Tokei team, and the team operates it as an inn for many people to use. The distinctive architecture is a redesign of an old townhouse using modern construction methods and traditional materials.

Inside, you'll find artwork such as murals and stone carvings of black birds, as well as books and photo collections selected by the host, which you can take your time to enjoy during your stay.

* The capacity is 4 people, but if it is only adults, the number of people who can stay comfortably is up to 3 people.
* The price shown is for up to 2 people, and 10,000 yen will be added to the accommodation fee for each additional person.

Fireplace
Please try the cute stove called "Komame" made by Yelka Wines. Depending on the season, it can be cold all day, even in spring and fall, at night and in the morning. Experience a warmth that is a little different from other heating while watching the fire in the wood stove. Feel free to use the firewood (2 bundles/1 night) placed on the shelves in the tatami mat room.
However, if you have no experience with wood stoves, you are not allowed to use them. However, if you book in advance and the timing is right, we will stop by to give you a lecture on how to use it and how to light it.

Bath and face towels are provided for the number of people. Toothbrushes are not provided, so please bring your own.

Outdoor living room (terrace)
It is a semi-outdoor space on the deck floor. Please have a quiet time in a place that is just the right distance from the forest. The table is a mortar with a soba-making platform. Please use it with care as it is not fixed.

Mural
This facility was designed and built by the operator, Matsuno-mae Tozoku.
One of the carpenters who worked on it is Yutaka Yukita, who is also a painter. For some reason, after the construction of our company was completed, we began to paint pictures on the walls. The motif is what impressed the artist during the construction process of the building, which is a black bird and a forest.
They are painted in several places in the building, so please enjoy the murals during your stay.

Guest access
The facility is bordered by a road to the east, a log fence and retaining wall to the north, a log fence to the south, and the ridge to the west. Please do not enter any other areas as they are private property. You are welcome to walk around the premises freely.

Other things to note
Please be careful when going up and down the stairs in this facility as they are circular stairs.

Guests with children should be aware of the stairs, wood stove, iron fence guarding the second floor chimney blowout, gaps in the terrace fence, and the deck on the western ridge outside, and make sure children do not run around or climb.
Also, depending on your child's age, we can install a baby gate (in front of the stairs on the 2nd floor) and a baby chair, so please let us know if you'd like to use them.

This facility is located in a forest villa area. There are no shops within walking distance, so if you are coming by train, please bring the necessary items with you. Taxis are available.
If you are traveling by car, there are various shops nearby for a convenient stay.

Please note that insects may enter the room as the facility is surrounded by forests.

A lockbox is mounted on the left front pillar of the building's earthen floor. Please open the box with the number provided in advance, take out the entrance key, and unlock the entrance to enter. * This is not a smart lock. Please take care of the keys so they don't get lost.

Please remove any dirt from your feet on the mat in front of the entrance before entering.

The building has no private rooms, except for the washroom, and the bedrooms are open spaces without partition walls.

Please be considerate of noise and light during your stay as there are villas and permanent residents in the neighborhood.

No smoking inside house. There are ashtrays in the hallway on the ground floor and on the terrace on the second floor.

The wood stove is completely different from a general heating appliance, so it is limited to those who have experience using it. If you have no experience, we will give you a lecture and help you light the fire if we have time.
Do not touch or place anything on the wood stove body or chimney when in use as they become very hot.
The lower lever for turning the stove on and off is outside the body and is difficult to see, so be careful not to bump your feet.

There is a steel fence around the second floor floor opening for the wood stove chimney, but please be careful not to drop anything.

There is no barbecue equipment, but you can enjoy a barbecue if you bring the necessary equipment. Barbecuing is allowed in the parking lot on the east side. Never leave hot items such as fire extinguishers or tongs on the veranda deck, as they can cause fires and burns.

Fire is limited to the stone fire pit on the parking lot side and in front of the veranda. Be sure to have a bucket and fire extinguisher ready when you make a fire or barbecue. Also, in case of strong winds, use is prohibited to prevent fires.

When entering and exiting by car, please pay attention to the stones and logs of the fire pit.

Only a minimum amount of seasonings are provided, so please bring what you need for cooking.

This facility has a septic tank, so please do not flush the oils and fats used in the kitchen directly, but wipe them with kitchen paper before washing. Also, never flush anything other than the paper provided in the toilet.

Shampoo, body soap, and conditioner are provided in the bathroom, but please bring your own toothbrush.

There is no TV, and you can check your ID/PW after your reservation is confirmed.

The washing machine detergent has been added.

Please do not touch the wall paintings or artworks directly.

For stays of 3 nights or more, we can change the linens and do light cleaning during your stay. We'll check the cleaning schedule in advance.

My work: Building Design
I lived in different areas and homes where I moved a lot.In the meantime, I came to know the places and spaces I loved and wanted to express it in architecture.I am currently renovating and building an old building at the foot of Mt. Yatsu, Yamanashi Prefecture. And we use the station to create a way of life that blurs the boundaries of travel and living rather than settlement.
