Black Bear's Lair is a Mountain-Chic retreat with an inviting atmosphere. Furnished with Luxurious Ultra-Comfortable Adjustable Beds and well-appointed amenities, with a HOT TUB!
As an added bonus, we offer two complimentary wine tastings at Noisy Water Winery, valued at $30.
The Guest Suite is comprised of 2 Private Bedrooms and a separate Living Room area with an efficient kitchenette, and one full bathroom.
Access the Private Guest Suite with a convenient SELF CHECK-IN KEYPAD to the RIGHT of the FRONT DOOR. The guest suite is separated from the hosts' residence - there is no access between the private residence and the guest suite (similar to a duplex) when occupied, ensuring a peaceful and private stay.
There is a plush Tempur-Pedic adjustable King-size bed and a Queen-size luxurious Tempur-Pedic adjustable bed with the freedom to customize the bed positions for ultimate relaxation. Hypoallergenic mattress and pillow protectors are provided for your well-being, as well as an air purifier in the suite. (It not only enhances indoor air quality by reducing possible mold, mildew, viruses, bacteria, allergens, and odors but also provides white noise for better sleep)
Step into the light-infused living area. The space is thoughtfully arranged with a unique Aspen log couch, an inviting large Aspen log chair, and a small drop-leaf dining table with two stools, serving as a convenient workspace or dining area.
The suite has a coffee/tea bar, microwave, and mini fridge for your convenience, IT DOES NOT HAVE A FULL KITCHEN with a sink or stove.
The accommodation includes one full bathroom equipped with a bathtub and shower.
We offer a range of entertainment options, with three televisions. One in each room. A SMART TV with full cable access, and two additional TVs are equipped with Roku, that allows you to sign-in to your own streaming accounts (HBO, Netflix, Disney+, etc.) Feel free to bring your PlayStation and plug it into one of the TVs for your personal gaming experience.
Additionally, we offer a selection of DVD movies, as well as cards and board games, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable stay.

Your private guest suite has a separate entrance with a self-check-in KEYPAD conveniently located TO FRONT DOOR. Designed for privacy and comfort, the suite is separate from the host’s residence, similar to a duplex.
Unwind on the covered back deck—one of our guests’ favorite features, alongside the hot tub! It’s the perfect spot to watch snowfall or rain, sip coffee or wine, or dive into a good book. Plus, you may be lucky enough to spot elk, deer, wild horses, or even a BEAR, against the stunning Sierra Blanca Mountain sunset.
