Traditionally furnished seter cottage at Bjøknesetre in Lordalen with road all the way up. Excellent starting point for the hunting and outdoor enthusiast.

In the house there is a kitchen, living room and one bedroom with beds for four. It is a simple standard without electricity and water, but is richly equipped with what you need. Made beds with warm, good duvets await you. Outdoor toilet by the barn.

Hunters can, on request, rent the annex to fire up and dry clothes and equipment, which gives better space and well-being in the actual cabin.

The space
The cabin is located in Bjøknesetre, an idyllic mountain pasture about 10 km into Lordalen. Here you can start the day by enjoying your morning coffee on the stairs and listening to the good tranquility you find here, before you seize the day and explore the area.

Surrounded by Reinheimen National Park, the farm is a good starting point for hiking and fishing trips as well as wild reindeer hunting, in an otherwise little facilitated mountain area. In Reinheimen, there are many cultural monuments such as trapping pits and bogasteller after the old wild reindeer trapping.

Lordalen is a great valley for a mountain farm. Grazing animals and mountain farming have helped to create the cultural landscape here. Cycling the gravel road inwards is recommended, as it gives you time to really take in nature as it changes to go over into the high mountains. Nice trips in the area are Løvegen, Trihøene, Fellingvatnet, Gråhøe, Digervarden and spectacular Dordiholet.

Guest access
You will have access to the entire farmhouse and the barn itself. The annex is not available without prior agreement.
In the barn you will find more wood and a simple charcoal grill for free use. Coal and lighter fluid must be brought by yourself.

Other things to note
- The cabin has no running water, but is equipped with a water jug to fetch water from the stream.
- There is no electricity in the cabin. Wood burning for heating, paraffin lamps and candles for lighting and propane on a cooking stove for cooking. Feel free to bring your own flashlight.
- Unstable mobile coverage and minimal internet access.
- Grazing animals such as sheep and cows walk freely around the houses, so excrement can be found on the ground.

Bed linen, firewood and lighting are included in the price.
