Bird Dog Lodge ( Lic 003586) Located in the Coosawattee River Resort in Ellijay GA. We are tucked away in the soaring pines with River View in winter months! If you love a romantic getaway, adventure, trails, the outdoors, wineries and great eats this is the spot. Perfect for a girls weekend or family vacation . Our cabin sleeps 8 comfortably with 2 bedrooms and a loft. New HOT TUB! High speed internet for work or streaming. You’ll feel like you’re away from it all. Plan a trip! Bring the dogs.
The space
Our entire cabin is open to you. We provide you with seasoned firewood and everything you could think of to enjoy the ultimate cabin experience . Our property is very private and out of sight from other cabins. You’ll enjoy the hot tub & fire pit. Perfect for a romantic getaway. You will love the outdoor spaces and several decks to enjoy morning coffee or family gatherings on the rocking chairs. Our cabin is 3 levels. The upstairs BR has a luxurious king bed with plush top mattress & private balcony. Upstairs you’ll find an Open loft with trundle bed. All of our linens are premium quality.
The main level features the main living kitchen and dinning . Step downstairs and you’ll find a comfy queen bed with bunks. Perfect for another family . Our place is ideal for two families of 4 that love spending time together. Our cabin is not just another rental. This is our home and we would love to share it with you. We hope you feel the difference and fall in love with Bird Dog Lodge. Dogs welcome too!
Guest access
The guest have have private access to the entire cabin & Several parks including picnic areas, grilling , children play areas, fishing ponds and river access points for all outdoor activities like kayaking , tubing & fishing. Resort amenities pass included in rental for access to indoor pool & Game Center with pool tables and more.
Other things to note
PLEASE READ ALL:
We have High speed internet (fiber) in excess of 500 mbps if you are looking to work from the cabin this is the spot!
We live just off the paved road on a maintained gravel road like a lot of the mountain homes in the area . Our driveway is paved and accommodating to most vehicles. We recommend making it in during daylight hours, so you can easily navigate through the community. The street signs are smaller and our driveway curves up the hill. Accelerate up hill & turn left your first time up and back into the driveway to unload.
You can turn left or right when you get to the top and plenty of room for 4-5 vehicles. Keep the middle of the driveway clear if you expect guest.
We do allow dogs to stay at our cabin. Our cleaner will do a deep clean after every pet stay but it’s impossible to remove every hair or evidence a dog was in the cabin.
*** IF YOU ARE COMING TO THE BLUE RIDGE MOUNTAINS DURING WINTER AND TEMPS ARE BELOW 32 degrees YOU WILL WANT TO BRING/RENT A 4x4 or AWD if you are not use to ice/snow. ***
Not recommended if you are towing a a trailer , camper or have a vehicle that exceeds 22ft.
You’ll find the outdoor Trash cans are in the shed.
HOT TUB: After a complete water change the hot tub takes 16 hours in winter to completely come to temp .

Neighborhood highlights
We are located in a mountain community called Coosawattee River Resort with several parks and picturesque landscaping like many Blue Ridge mountain communities . Since we are also a no hunting zone you will most likely experience deer up close and personal . Our cabin is tucked away in the forest with fast access to all amenities but private and cozy for the ultimate cabin experience.
