Ice fishing and snowmobiler’s paradise on a quiet channel to Placid Lake. Bigwater Cabins is a 4.5 acre north woods retreat with a large Main Cabin, an additional Guest Cabin, and the Saloon for cozy hangouts. Close to Mount Ski Gull for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing, near miles of snowmobile trails, and an easy drive to shops, dining, and winter events. Sleeps up to 12 until May, then expands to 20 for summer.

No bachelor or bachelorette parties please.
Max occupancy in winter is 12.

- Primary bedroom = 1 King

- Loft = 2 Fulls

- Behind the bookshelf door:
Bedroom 1 = 1 Queen
Bedroom 2 = 1 Queen

- Guest Cabin open all winter, 1 bedroom with 1 Queen, 1 bath, full kitchen and living room

- The Saloon is open for use as a heated gathering space, with a bar setup, mini fridge, pizza oven, dart board, poker table, other games, and smart TV

Note: the Saloon bathroom is winterized until May, please plan accordingly

Winter amenities

High-speed Wi-Fi, smart TVs, board games, puzzles, indoor fireplace, outdoor fire pit for crisp nights under the stars, plowed driveway, and plenty of room for gear.

Outdoor fun

Access nearby snowmobile trails, try ice fishing, ski or tube at Mount Ski Gull, and warm up after with a game night in the Saloon. For off-day adventures, explore local breweries, shops, and the winter charm of Brainerd and Nisswa.

Boat note

Boat rental is a summer amenity, however you are welcome to bring gear for ice fishing, and use the shoreline responsibly. Ice conditions vary, guests assume all risk on ice and water.

Guest access

You will receive a welcome email with check-in details before your stay, including heating tips, parking instructions, and winter notes. Please park on the driveway only, do not drive or park on the front yard.

House rules and notes

Quiet hours 10 pm to 8 am, no events, no smoking inside, registered guests only unless pre-approved, the Saloon bathroom is winterized until May, use all outdoor and shoreline areas at your own risk, damages or missing items will be charged.
