A comfortable and cute place that offers exceptional sunsets over the mountains. Looking directly at the Flathead Range and Turtle Mountain, and being close to Crowsnest Mountain and the High Rock Range, this place is perfect for getaways, travelers, cozy home dwellers, and more. It is especially convenient for workers too, working at the coal mines or other projects in the area. Situated close to highway 3 (can hear traffic faintly but it is not bothersome), the access to multiple trail heads are nearby. The home is located on an oversized lot in West Coleman, which means it is very close to the BC border.

We do not charge cleaning fees or other extra fees because we do not want you to be surprised when booking the place. We include those costs in the overall price. We also try to be reasonable with cleaning requests before you check out. We want you to feel like a guest.

We are a fully legal Airbnb that complies with all regulations. Our business license number with the municipality is 0000148.

The most common compliments guests share about the place are:

1. Great location - It is on the far west end of the Crowsnest Pass, close to mountain recreation and the BC border.

2. Spacious - We only advertise it for 6 people, but the space is very accommodating for large groups. We have personally had a gathering of 15 people in there and it was perfectly roomy. There are three queen beds, but if your group prefers, there is also a single mattress with bedding to be pulled out.

3. A historic/vintage place with character - All the trim and hardwood floors in the photos are original. The windows are original too. The place has been kept up well over the years, highlighting the 1940's style when it was built. We only have snippets of information on the history of the place, and what we have heard is the main living room and dining room area was used as a smaller in-home ballroom for up-scale functions. We love the place, because it portraits exactly that: good character that makes you want to dance!

4. Kitchen - Again, the kitchen is very spacious. There is so much storage and plenty of counter space to work with.

5. Views - We named it Beside the Sunset for a reason! The lots the house is on are south facing with expansive views to both the east and west. You actually get good sunrises here too. But make sure to enjoy that sunset over the mountain range while staying here.

6. The shower - It was fully renovated and installed in 2022. Great water pressure with a rain shower and handheld - perfect for two people.

Guest access
-The entire home and property (10,800 sq/ft) is available to be used except for the detached garage and accompanying driveway.

-Small garage below house is available for you to store your quad or snowmobile, was your cross country skis, or to stash your bike overnight.

-Chairs on the front deck to enjoy the view over morning coffee.

-Please do not park on the street. There is room for two vehicles (sometimes three) on the main driveway. You are also welcome to use the RV pad beside the detached garage but please do not park in front of the garage door.

Other things to note
We are locals in the area who do a lot of hiking, scrambling, rock climbing, caving and more. If you are a fellow adventurer who would like more information on those activities in the area, be sure to message us. We love to share the Crowsnest Pass gems with people.

We have also done plenty of international (and domestic) travelling as a couple. If you are coming from out of the country to visit the mountains, we would love to host you and make sure you feel welcomed.
