Dedicated workspace

A room with wifi that’s well-suited for working.
We fell in love with this old farmland while watching the full moon rise over Bearwallow mountain. We’re sure you will love it too as you cozy up in our new vintage trailer. Sleeps two in the queen-sized bed. Has full bath, three-burner gas cooktop and oven, refrigerator with freezer, heat, air conditioning, microwave, TV, 5G and dinette. Outdoor amenities include fire pit & cedar rockers. Turgua Brewing is just down the road. Stay a couple nights (or longer) and let the mountains mesmerize you.

The space
You'll be sleeping in a cabin-like, brand-new Vintage Cruiser, with knotty pine and cozy amenities. The photos pretty much show the vibe. The farmland, however, is what will make you want to stay longer, with long-range views of Bearwallow Mountain, Little Pisgah and more.

Guest access
You'll have access to fire pits, cedar gliders for sitting, and 2.5 acres of farmland.

Other things to note
We opted not to have WiFi because the cell towers are on an adjacent mountain. We consistently have five bars of 5G on Verizon and T-Mobile. This is a special area, and we've worked to preserve the natural habitat. You'll likely see hawks, owls, deer, turkeys and much more.

Lives in Asheville, North Carolina
During the 1980s , I bicycled across America, pedaled through Europe, island-hopped the South Pacific and flew into Indonesia. After backpacking through Bali, bussing through Java, hopping a boat to Singapore and crossing Malaysia to Thailand, I flew into Burma, tramped to Dhaka and endured a 32-hour train ride from calamitous Calcutta to bustling Bombay. From there, I hopped a plane for Greece and traveled to Switzerland before returning home, where I settled, quite naturally, into a career of travel writing, with a bachelor's degree in journalism from UNC-Chapel Hill. I've penned a few books, notably, "Remembering Charles Kuralt," a biography that Publisher's Weekly called "a sweet and lovely homage, a welcome commemoration." I love long walks at Biltmore Estate, rugged mountain bike rides at Bent Creek, sipping a cappuccino at High Five Coffee Shop, where you can feel the creative vibe. I chronicle my local adventures on (Hidden by Airbnb) @my828life. I love my home. I hope you will too.
