A warm, unhurried oasis in our historic post and beam barn — private entrance, clawfoot tub, organic cotton bedding, and a king bed overlooking a cut flower farm in the Black Creek Valley of Washington County, NY. Wake up and walk the fields. Pick your own bouquet. Stay a while.

The space
The Beam & Bloom Suite is an exquisite, unexpected oasis tucked into the post and beam addition of our historic century-old red barn — once a beloved gathering space and café entrance, now transformed into a place to arrive at the end of a long drive through a busy life...and to finally breathe.

Enter through your private main entrance or step into your private courtyard and behold beauty- the fields alive with blooms, berries, and the quiet wonder of things growing.

Inside, the suite is glowing and romantic — a queen bed dressed in organic cotton and natural linen, vaulted ceilings with pendant lighting, a cozy sitting area for movies and long unhurried conversations, gorgeous dried flowers grown on the farm hanging in decor, and a kitchenette stocked for your stay.

And then there is the bathroom. Warm reclaimed wood walls. A decadent clawfoot tub waiting for you; draw a bath, feel pampered. We hope you will linger throughout your stay.

Step outside and the flower fields beckon. Blueberries in July, raspberries in August, hundreds of breathtaking dahlias in September and October. Fresh cut flowers, vegetables, herbs and even your cup of tea, at the self-serve farm stand daily.

Come and behold the beauty and awe of creation — of a tiny seed becoming a flower, a bloom becoming a bouquet, and a farm becoming a refuge. Welcome to the Post + Beam Suite.

Note: the long couch offers a pull out bed for families traveling with children. It could host one adult comfortably.

Guest access
You have full private access to the suite through both your main entrance and private courtyard door. You are warmly welcomed to wander the flower fields, berry rows, and vegetable gardens, and to enjoy the self-serve farm stand daily during the season. July through October, 7am to dark.

Beyond the fields, follow the path past the blueberries and amble the full farm — past the hives tended by internationally renowned beekeepers, across the hayfield, all the way to the banks of the Black Creek. A map will be provided in your suite to guide your wandering.

Parking is available on the property. The suite is steps from the barn.

Other things to note
This is a farm rooted in faith and the theology of abundance — where a tiny seed becomes a flower, a flower becomes a bouquet, and a working farm becomes a refuge. It is mind-blowing what a seed becomes, and really, what all of us can become. We are honored to share it with you.

The land surrounding the farm carries centuries of history. The farm was just designated a Century Farm by the Governor, honoring 3 previous generations of stewardship. A Revolutionary War cemetery sits on the land— a quiet, profound place worth a slow visit. Our guest guidebook includes this and other hidden gems of the area worth adding to your retreat.

Once a month we host a curated day of personal experiences — golden hour Date Nights, Grow Well Farm & Health Tours, Guided Bouquet classes, and our Plant Powered Potluck. Intimate, intentional, worth planning your stay around. Check our full calendar of events on our farm's website, Taste & See Refuge.
