Guest access
The Beach House is half of a duplex at @holidayhousebribie . The Beach House is all yours. You will share the outdoor spaces with guests residing in the other half of the duplex, The Shell House

We live amongst a National Park so you will see wildlife in the backyard. This could be rainbow lorikeets, a bush turkey or sugar gliders. Now and then you might see a tiny gecko inside. They eat stray insects so we are keeping them!

Other things to note
We stock a basic pantry, which includes: Nespresso pods, Black and Herbal Teas, Salt, Pepper & Cooking Oil. Please pop into a shop for your supplies and milk if you take it! There is an IGA within walking distance. Restaurants on the island are closed by 7pm so either eat early or plan to make your own meals.

The Beach House has ceiling fans and heating throughout. We enjoy wonderful cross breezes from the ocean in the Summer months and the wood floors feel warm underfoot in the Winter months.

Neighborhood highlights

The Beach House is a few steps away from a beach access track that leads to a patrolled beach. Woorim Beach is relatively calm with small waves. It is suitable for kids, beginner surfers and nervous swimmers. We recommend that guests stay between the marked red and yellow lifesaver flags.

There are local shops within walking distance from The Beach House. There are cafes, a butcher, bakery, pharmacy, medical centre and an IGA. There are also a couple of surfing lifestyle and clothing shops.

Local attractions include a butterfly house, movie theatre and golf club.

Activities include swimming, 4WD, fishing, paddle boarding, jet skiing and parasailing. In Spring guests can pick strawberries at nearby farms.

Bribie Island is a national park with turtle and bird watching on offer. Turtle hatching season is Dec - March. You can see wild dolphins all year around and might be lucky enough to swim with the dolphins (but please do not touch them!)

There are great walking and cycling tracks across the island. The beach access track gives 4WD access to an hour of pristine beach driving with 4 lagoons nearby. See WW2 forts at low tide.

The locals are a hoot! They keep an eye on the property so don’t be surprised if they introduce themselves.

We are a young, professional couple who collect experiences. We live on beautiful Bribie Island and enjoy the laid back lifestyle. We have travelled extensively both individually and as a couple. Some of our favourite memories include skiing in Nagano and snorkelling in Fiji. We host guests in our home because we want to share the peaceful surroundings with others. Hopefully our guests will make beautiful memories too.
