We’re just 2 miles to nearest Bass Lake boat launch, a few minutes drive to hiking trails, and 45 minutes to the Yosemite National Park entrance (1 hour and 45 to Yosemite Valley).

Our cozy private 2 bedroom cabin is a great place for a couples retreat, friend getaway, or family vacation. Relax and recharge in a quiet neighborhood with a half-acre private yard. Enjoy the deer, wild turkeys, quail, gray squirrels, and birds galore from the comfort of the sunroom or on an inviting outdoor bench.

The space
Set on a quiet street, less than two miles to the lake, you’ll find yourself close to nature. There’s ample parking for multiple vehicles or even a boat.

The cabin is 1,080 square feet with 2 bedrooms and one bath. It also has a spacious sunroom. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a twin and queen bed.

The kitchen is equipped with a variety of cooking equipment including pots, pans, dishes, cups, toaster, and crockpot. Propane grill included.

There are a variety of board game and DVD options, or stream your services on the smart TV. WiFi speed has been updated to 15mbps download and 3mbps upload.

Guest access
You'll have the whole cabin to yourself. The space is a third-acre lot, with plenty of parking in the front, and ample privacy in the back.

Other things to note
There is a wall AC unit in the sunroom. Tabletop tower fans and ceiling fans are provided in the bedrooms and an additional box and pedestal fan are also available.

No outdoor fires are allowed. The lake levels are lower in the winter months in preparation for the snowpack melt in the spring.

Neighborhood highlights

Wishon is located in the Sierra National Forest in the Bass Lake Annex, just south of the Bass Lake Dam. The cabin is just over two miles to the Crane Valley Dam (Bass Lake) and boat launch. Millers Landing (open seasonally) is 2.6 miles, and it offers boat rentals, a restaurant, delicious ice cream, and even music on some nights in the summer. If you continue up Road 222 there are several places to enjoy the lake from the shore. There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails in the area. A trail head to a trail leading to the dam is located just a quarter-mile walk from the cabin.

Yosemite and Kings Canyon National Parks are within are scenic day trips.

Since 2016, my husband Bryan and I have been making memories in our Bass Lake cabin with our three boys (12, 10, 5 years). We chose the Bass Lake Annex (Wishon) because of the quiet serenity of our little neighborhood combined with the proximity to Bass Lake and Yosemite. We love the Bass Lake culture, fire works at the 4th of July and New Years, live music and great food at Miller’s in the summer just to name a few.
