Start your morning right with the drip coffee maker.
Wake up to the sound of the Roaring Fork River and enjoy your morning coffee on a private riverfront patio. This modern studio is perfect for couples or solo travelers seeking a peaceful mountain getaway. Just 20–25 minutes from Aspen, Snowmass, Buttermilk, and Aspen Highlands, and a short walk to downtown Basalt's restaurants, shops, river parks, and trails. Perfect for skiing, fly fishing, hiking, biking, or simply relaxing by the river.

The space
Basalt River Escape is a thoughtfully designed riverfront studio that maximizes comfort, function, and connection to the outdoors. The open layout combines sleeping, living, and dining space, while large windows and direct access to the private patio bring in natural light and showcase the beauty of the Roaring Fork River just steps away.

The studio features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable sleeping area, a seating space that easily converts to queen size bed, a full bathroom, and an in-unit washer and dryer for added convenience. Outside, the private patio offers direct walk-out access to the Roaring Fork River—perfect for morning coffee, casting a fly, enjoying a glass of wine, or simply listening to the water flow by.

Whether you're visiting for skiing, hiking, biking, fishing, or a quiet mountain getaway, Basalt River Escape provides a comfortable riverfront basecamp in the heart of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the entire studio and private riverfront patio, along with access to the community grounds and riverfront area.

Other things to note
Downtown Basalt's restaurants, shops, and cafés are just a 4-minute walk away. Just a 2-minute walk from the studio, Basalt's newly renovated Whitewater Park is a favorite local gathering spot with scenic walking paths, pedestrian bridges, improved fishing access, and whitewater features. During the warmer months, it's a great place to relax by the river, cool off with a swim, or watch kayakers navigate the rapids. The renowned Fryingpan River, famous for its Gold Medal fly fishing, and the scenic Rio Grande Trail for biking, walking, and running are also about a 4-minute walk away. Wildlife is common in the area, and guests should use caution near the Roaring Fork River, especially with children.

My work: Ski Instructor
Lives in Basalt, Colorado
Hi, I'm Mike. I've been fortunate to call the Roaring Fork Valley home for the last several years. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me skiing, biking, climbing, or exploring Colorado's mountains. During the winter, I teach skiing to children with Aspen Snowmass and help manage a newly opened restaurant in Aspen. I created Basalt River Escape to share this incredible valley and all it has to offer.
