Welcome to Triple G Hideaway! This beautiful home away from home is located in Olney, Montana. From this location you can drive 45 miles south to Glacier National Park or 45 miles North to the Canadian border. The popular vacation destination of Whitefish is located 17 miles south. Situated a mile off the main highway, this rental is the perfect place to decompress from fast paced day to day living. It features mountainous views of the northwestern Montana wilderness. There is a tower in the Olney area providing service for AT&T and T-Mobile with 5 G service and Wi-Fi is available as well. This rental is two bedroom ,one bath, a small kitchen, dining room and a large living room space. There is a queen bed, a full bed, and a hide-a-bed couch. You will have access to directions and guide book to lesser known local attractions including hiking, biking, fishing, waterfalls, lakes, and more.
I built this rental myself with the help of my kids and grandkids. As you can see in the photos, it boasts log walls, cedar plank walls, wood flooring, tile flooring in the bathroom, and custom made cedar kitchen and bath cabinets that I made myself.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home. This is the end unit of a Tri-Plex. This rental is the furthest to the end. It will be labeled with a "C". There are year round residents in the other two, so quiet hours is 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. We value our privacy and quiet life, so we require that you abide by this policy. You will have access to your own private fire pit. ( Fires are not allowed only during high fire danger )
Other things to note
If you are here to visit Glacier National Park and want to take an extra special ride there or ride back to our home, you can get to the little town of Polebridge which is on the outside of the Park, but close to the back entrance into the park ( which is less crowded). Keeping in mind it is a gravel road not pavement. You can get to Triple G Hideaway from the Park going the backroad, passing two take your breath away lakes that are right on the road. Those lakes are Red Meadow and Upper Whitefish. I will be updated the Guide book with pictures of these places as I get to it. There is just to much to see here! Anyway, when you come to the end of that road, you will only be 1/4 mile from us! So you get a bonus trip in the backcountry of rugged Montana and come out at "home" on the end of your journey!
No smoking or pets on the premises.

Neighborhood highlights
The rental is on our family 26 acre property. Our family came to Montana in 1887. I am the third generation watching the sixth generation being raised here! We have a home and three of our kids have homes on the property as well. There is two long term rentals that are attached to this rental ( tri-plex). They are hardly ever home except at night so quiet at night is what we require for all. There is a small town that has a small post office, a convenience store that has some essentials at the bottom of the mountain. There is a place called Stillwater Bar 3 miles down the highway that offers some bar food and has a local swimming hole that has clear flowing waters and fishing is great for pike, perch, and the occasional trout! Dog Creek Lodge offers a wine and food menu in their cafe. There are a couple waterfalls that are a short drive away that are beautiful to see! There is an ATV and boat rental business 1 mile away. Four miles north, you will find Powder Guides backcountry skiing and Dog Creek cross county skiing. In the winter months you will find Dog Sled Adventures just north where you can ride on a dog sled through the vast forest Montana has to offer! Main grocery and gas services will be 17 miles south in Whitefish, a popular tourist destination! You will have ample tourist attraction opportunities there! But then leave the busy life for the country life when you come back to your rental! I am currently working on a guide book to show you some local "secret" spots of my childhood.
There is a white lab dog that may or may not greet you with a bark if he is outside in his pen just beyond your apartment. His name is Monty, after Montana. He is in a pen and cannot get out. He is friendly, just likes to bark sometimes at strangers for a moment. You will also hear the distant sound of a train on occasion, sometimes it's a little louder than normal when the air is just right. The train track is about 2 miles away. Other than that, it is relatively quiet around here.

Hello! My name is Rocky and I live on this mountain I purchased after logging it over 30 years ago. I then raised a family here on it, three of our four kids are raising their families here now, and one is grandson is raising his new daughter here now! My mother owns 10 acres just at the bottom of our mountain. She and my 4 sisters all live in their own places on her 10 acres. It's a family affair indeed!
