Imagine a getaway or vacation at this beautiful lakeside home on the clear, beautiful waters in the highly desired NE Quad of Lake Gaston. Just minutes from shopping, restaurants, and other amenities! Or by water, enjoy the short 15 min trip over to the Eaton Ferry bridge area with several fun places to visit, including restaurants or marinas. Stop in and grab a bite or enjoy a beverage.
The views from the home are spectacular and hence the name: Awesome Sunsets .The home boasts 5 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms, which include: 1 king, 3 queens, and a bunkroom. On the main level, the updated kitchen, sunroom with office area, dining area, and family room give you ample areas to get together or to stretch out. As you wander outside, the home features a full home length new deck with lighting for your family enjoyment. There is also a grill area and covered seating area to enjoy the breeze but get out of the sun. As you migrate downstairs, you find a second kitchen area, a family room, and a new game room with a pool table and classic full-size arcade game. I sense a late night Ms. Pacman tournament in your future!
Whether you’re walking the steps from the deck, or leaving from the walkout lower level, the path to the lake and boathouse features night lighting and multiple sitting areas/ swings as well as two separate fire pit areas to make s’mores and memories.
This property boasts a private oversized boathouse that includes a wet bar area with a refrigerator and TV, a large sundeck, multiple covered sitting areas, and a packed storage area full of water inflatables, life jackets, paddles, fishing equipment and much more- all that the owner leaves available for use. Not to mention the kayaks and paddle board just sitting here waiting to get wet. Just remind us so we make sure they are empty for you. If you’re bringing a pontoon boat or additional items, the boathouse has integrated cleats and a nice area to the side to easily tie off your items. Don’t worry about water depth either as the shoreline drops pretty quickly to 6+ feet at the deep edge of the boathouse! A great area for tons of family water fun.

Guest is able to access all parts of the house with the exception of locked owners closets.
Other things to note
★☆ Boats are privately owned boats and are not part of rental.
★☆ We provide a starter set of supplies including dish soap, paper towels, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent, garbage bags and dish soap. Basically enough to last a few days.
★☆ Please let us know of ANY issues upon arrival so we may rectify. Otherwise, we will consider the property in good condition.

Lake Gaston is one of the premiere lakes on the East Coast. Built in 1962 as part of the power project. Lake Gaston is 35 miles of beautiful water from Kerr Lake to Roanoke Rapids Lake. Located on the North Carolina/Virginia border it is a great trip from many locations.
Fish include Blue Catfish, Striped Bass, Largemouth bass, Walleye, Channel catfish, Bluegill, Gar, Chain pickerel
Lake Gaston is over 20,000 acres of high quality water, approximately one and a half miles wide at the lower end and has over 350 miles of shoreline. Normal height of Lake Gaston is 200 feet above sea level, and remains close to normal except in the case of an emergency.

✔ Goat Island is located in the northeast quadrant of Lake Gaston in Peahill Creek. It has long been a favorite hangout for boating families looking for a place to dock and swim.
✔ Rent a boat or jetski. There are tons of places to rent on Lake Gaston. Book early as they fill up.
✔ Take a Wake Board Lesson. World Champion Adam Fields owns AFWake and teaches. You can rent or buy equipment.
✔ Sylvan Heights Bird Park has over 2,000 birds from around the world.
✔ Play Golf
Although some of these courses are private, call and they will most likely let you play.
