The space
Authentic, warm, cozy log cabin acts as additional space for those who have already booked the Trade River Retreat Cabin on Airbnb.

If you would like 1 or 2 guests to join you, the log cabin can be additional sleeping/hang out space. If it's just for you to experience an authentic log cabin to sleep in we can give you a very discounted rate- just ask.

Traditional hand-hewn log cabin (most all log cabins are now manufactured) with loft bedroom w very comfy and plush queen bed and an opening skylight overhead, a walk-out balcony outside the loft, and a wood-burning stove built in to a huge stone fireplace. (firewood is provided)

There is no bathroom or running water inside thenlog cabin. It shares bathroom and kitchen with the main house, only 100 yards away. Or use the nearby very nice outhouse.

Besides wireless internet, the loft also has an HDTV with Blu Ray player and Netflix (don't tell anyone!) and a balcony outside the loft bedroom that seats two (perfect for happy hour!). All with a great view of the river while looking over the huge stone fireplace the other way.

Downstairs is a wood-burning stove built in to a huge 2 story hand-built field-stone fireplace, electric heat, a plush futon couch that folds into a very comfy twin bed, a huge living room window that looks out towards the river, and a large screen porch with a couch that can also double as a bed, a sitting area and even a hammock.

All very close to the main house (a couple hundred feet away), where the bathroom and kitchen are located, but is completely separate and private.

For threatening weather there is a storm shelter below the log cabin, accessible from the outside..

Guest access
Access to the entire log cabin, porch and storm shelter. It is close to the main house, yet completely separate and private. Guests would have access to the kitchen and bathroom in the main house or use the very nice outhouse, attached to the garden shed, in between the main cabin and the log cabin.

Other things to note
If you do not rent this space no one else will ever be there during your stay at the Trade River Retreat Center.

This is my private space while I am there (never at the same time you are there) and I am making it available to those who desire additional sleeping space or who want to experience an authentic log cabin (most all log cabins are manufactured and built from kits- very soulless compared to this experience).

Neighborhood highlights

Close to the main cabin and looks out over the Trade River and is surrounded by woods. There are no nearby neighbors within sight or sound. Total privacy and seclusion. The Log Cabin located at the end of our long winding driveway, near the main cabin, far from the road.
