This home is in a scenic location.
We welcome you to stay in The Ark cabin, privately located up the end of a long driveway in the middle of a kiwi fruit orchard.

The Ark is a whole lot bigger on the inside than it looks!

Nestled in our garden The Ark has amazing views to the Kaimai Range's.

Little skylights in the roof mean star gazing is possible from the bed on a clear night.

Romantic lighting creates a cosy and romantic atmosphere, off grid with hot water bottles.

The space
We have extensive gardens to roam, a river to explore and lots of outdoor spaces to relax in.

A bathroom next to the cabin with a composting waterless toilet along with outside shower with views to the Kaimai ranges.

*new feature* - a fresh water hot tub - must be prebooked 24 hours before your arrival. First in first served basis as it can be booked by other cabins on the property. Message to book $50 cash per fill ($55 credit card) this covers the cost of gas to heat it and cleaning.

Located just off State highway 2, it's handy to some of the best beaches, walks, avocado and kiwifruit orchards in the Bay of Plenty

We grow our own organic fruit and vegetables, which are shared with guests when in season.

Our dog Pip is very friendly and loves to meet guests and hang out. If you aren't comfortable around dogs this probably isn't the best place to book. 12 volt lighting, no 230 volt power points.

The shared guest kitchenette/lounge behind the main house.

A guest BBQ and fire is located nearby in the quaint summer house with seating with a lovely garden view.

The rustic enclosed outdoor shower with waterless composting toilet is next to the cabin and overlooks the Kaimai Ranges.

We do have other accomodation available, please look under my listings.

Wifi and power points are available in the guest lounge/kitchen. There is no 240 volt power to this cabin but there is a USB charging port for phones.

Other things to note
We are situated 10km south of Katikati or 25 mins fromTauranga. It pays to do grocery shopping before you arrive at either Katikati or Bethlehem (Countdown supermarkets)
These places are the closest to buy meals
Due to the location of our cabins in a rural garden setting, bugs, and other noises may occur. There is no heating or cooling in this cabin

Since Airbnb handle all bookings, monetary transactions and cancelation details and us as hosts have little control, we recommend travel insurance in case you encounter the unfortunate situation where a booking needs to be cancelled.

We are a easy 2 hour drive from Auckland airport. The beautiful Coromandel is within driving distance. Rotorua is just over an hour drive away and Hobbiton is also close by. We are located exactly half way between Waihi Beach and Mt Maunganui Beaches

We are approximately 1.5kms off State highway 2
