Apple Corners is one side of a duplex with a separate entrance. It has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath and is newly remodeled. Wifi and smart tvs are in each bedroom and the living room. Our chickens will provide you with 1 dozen free farm fresh eggs while you are here. It is quiet! We are 2 miles from Ossian, 8 miles from Calmar, and 14 miles from Decorah on a hard surface road.

The space
This is one side of a duplex, in the country, on hard surface roads. 14 miles from Decorah, 7 miles from Calmar, 2 miles from Ossian. Close enough, but far enough away. Enjoy peace in the country. You may see farmers planting or harvesting, or hear the coyotes. You might even see a pheasant or bald eagle!

Your space is a private 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom, with a full kitchen condo. Stretch out in the open floor plan, or step outside on the front deck or back patio. The front deck and back patio is shared with the other side of the duplex, which is a LTR. But the inside of your STR is not accessible by anyone else.

Other things to note
We provide a dozen farm fresh eggs in the refrigerator for you to make breakfast. Apples that are grown on the property (when in season) will be provided.

Neighborhood highlights

The nearest neighbor (besides our house) is a 1/4 mile away. We do have the occasional wildlife walk through the property (mainly to steal apples). Your view will consist of growing cornfields in season and open fields during the winter. We are located directly on the snowmobile trail in the winter, depending on the amount of snow we receive.

My husband, Jeramy, and I purchased this property 6 years ago. We had been long term renting this out, but thought we would try short term rentals and hospitality. We live at the farthest end of the driveway. We have 2 kids and this is a family project. We are happy you chose to stay with us.
