You’ll feel like you’ve been pulled into a mid century lounge and spa with a cocktail/espresso bar. Get lost in a stunning bathroom with walk-in, side-by-side dual shower heads & extremely deep soaking tub.
The master suite has a cozy queen bed and large screen SMART TV & DVD player - along with a mid century desk/office space. The guest room has a twin bed. This owner occupied, 2 bedroom, downstairs suite is located in the North End Tacoma, Proctor & Ruston area.
The space
Our two-bedroom mid century modern style downstairs suite is a fun way to relax. It features a deep soaking tub nestled in a shower room with dual shower heads.
You have a queen bed in the master bedroom with direct access to the bathroom. There’s a twin bed in the second bedroom. We can make a twin size air mattress available for a 4th guest that can be used in the master bedroom or living area.
Upstairs is owner occupied.
Guest access
You’ll have plenty of room to park and your entrance is nestled under the covered patio that you’re welcome to enjoy in the spring & summer. It has a BBQ that you’re welcome to enjoy.
There is a motion detector on the covered patio for your safety, so we are aware if anyone comes into the property outside of you and any approved guests, as well as guests of our own.
Other things to note
If you have a 4th guest, we offer a twin size air mattress that can be used in the master bedroom or living area.
A fun fact is that we have a tankless water heater, so enjoying a nice hot bath followed by a rinse off shower is no issue at all. You also have shared-use of the washer and dryer. We made every effort to provide you with as many conveniences and special touches we could think of, but we’d also love your feedback and ideas for the future. If you need anything at all, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Neighborhood highlights
Our Mid Century Modern / Palm Springs style suite is located in the North Tacoma, Proctor District. It's one of Tacoma's most well loved neighborhoods with hidden mansions and amazing views just blocks away. Within a five minute radius, you can enjoy a vintage theater or bowling alley, Starbucks, amazing walks with a 180 degree view of the Puget Sound, Olympic Mountains & Mt Rainer.
Depending on how energetic you are, it's about a 15 minute walk to Point Ruston which features tons of locally owned shops, an indoor farmer's style market, and wonderful eats. It's also about a 15 minute walk to the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, 5-mile paved trail, an insanely beautiful rose garden, a magical Asian garden, and fun wildlife (deer and racoons) that think they are neighborhood pets.
You are also less than 10 minutes from the Narrows Bridge which will take you to the beautiful Gig Harbor - while there, one of our favorite treats is visiting our local Heritage Distillery.
Ruston Way (which is a 15 minute walk or two minute drive) is also a wonderful place for a run or you can rent a fun cycle or even try parasailing during the right time of year. Just outside of Anthony's at Pt Defiance, you can rent kayaks and take a ride down a fun water elevator that gently drops you into the sound. It's a 10 minute Uber ride to the Tacoma Dome or one of our favorites, McMenamins. We will feature more fun places in the photos. It's just such an magical place, I swear Tacoma is the greatest "speak easy" city I've ever known... such a hidden gem.
