Where you’ll be

Herstal, Wallonie, Belgium

The Liège Metropolis seduces culture lovers with a rich agenda and an abundant scene of emerging artists and creators. In a limited area, there are prestigious institutions hosting internationally renowned performances and exhibitions whose buildings alone are worth a visit. They embody the modernization of the city, an alliance between innovative materials and original buildings. Concert halls and many festivals host international artists all year round.
Nourished with its history and appetite for modernity, including artistic, it has in its heart many museums: Grand Curtius, Aquarium and Museum of Zoology, Maison de la Science, Musée de la Vie Wallonne, Musée de la Vie Wallonne, Musée de la Métallurgie, Musée de la Métallurgie, Musée des Transports en public, Trésor de la Cathédrale, Musée Grétry, etc.

There are hundreds of coffees, breweries, and bistros. The pèkèt is the typical drink. As for the “Liège coffee”, famous everywhere, it will bring an organ point to a meal that, if it is regional, will be able to honor the boudins, the charcuterie, the Liège salad, the famous boulets-frites in a syrup sauce or the kidneys raised from juniper berries or the delicious Liège waffle.
As soon as the first ray of sunshine is announced, the deployed terraces of the city center spur the conversation that we will engage without difficulty.
Liège is also the city of beer lovers. Several craft breweries, specialty shops, bars and events welcome you under one label: Liège BeerLovers' City.
You will certainly have the opportunity to taste a good beer from one of the 2 neighboring breweries that are 500 m from "Agate". Tours are also organized.

You may have the opportunity to live: the crazy week of August 15 in Outremeuse, the Wallonia festivals in September, the October Fair, with its rides, or the most sparkling Christmas Village in Wallonia and the most important in Belgium with its 200 chalets and four settlements.

Liège, close to you, is served by a very dense network of communication routes (motorway crossroads, TGV, Euroregional airport) that puts it within reach of your curiosity. A majestic train station, created by the great Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava, was inaugurated in 2009.

And even a River Shuttle, 6 stops have been set up in order to allow you to access in just a few minutes to the Liège flowers: La Boverie, the Gare des Guillemins, the pedestrian city center, the Place Saint-Lambert and the Marché, the Grand Curtius...

Apart from this practical aspect, it is also a beautiful moment of stroll along the river and new perspectives to discover on the Liège heritage located on the banks of the Meuse.

In short , I have to tell you about the little life in Liège and its discoveries if you wish.
