Stay in our fully remodeled, private living space in the basement of our 100-year-old family home.
Please note: stairs are involved and you'll be sharing the house with us.

Important Note: Shared Space Considerations
As our home is 100 years old, the floors can be creaky, and sound travels easily. You may hear:
· Footsteps and movement from our main family space
· Toys being dropped or played with
· Muffled talking and TV sounds
We strive to be quiet and respectful, especially during early morning and late evening hours. However, we want to set clear expectations: you will likely hear us, and we'll hear you. We appreciate your understanding and mutual respect.

To comply with city ordinances, we need to share some essential information with you. As required by the City of Portland, our Short-Term Rental (STR) is licensed through the city. We're also required to maintain a Guest Log Book, similar to standard hotel/motel procedures.

Easy Access to Your Private Retreat
To enter your cozy space:
1. Walk through the gate into the backyard.
2. Head to the back of the house, where you'll find the screen door.
(Feel free to prop it open if you have multiple bags, but please close it when you're done.)
3. Note: Our listing features stairs, which you'll use regularly to enter and exit. If stairs are a challenge, this may not be the best fit for you.
4. Once inside, you'll find the keyless pin-code door on your immediate left.
We want to ensure a smooth arrival. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
Flexible Check-In/Out Times
We understand travel schedules can vary, and we're happy to accommodate flexible check-in/out times whenever possible. However, we do have some considerations:
· Adjacent reservations
· Cleaner availability
· Quiet residential neighborhood (late check-ins may be restricted)
To ensure a smooth arrangement, please provide at least 24 hours' notice for:
· Early check-in requests
· Late checkout requests
This allows us to:
· Verify availability
· Adjust door codes accordingly (beyond typical check-in/out times)

Sleeper Sofa/Couch Usage:

Deliveries:
· Notify us in advance for expected deliveries (food, groceries, Amazon, etc.)
· Meet deliveries at front gate; do not grant gate access to delivery personnel/non-registered guests
