Room in a bed and breakfast

Your own room in a home, plus access to shared spaces.
Surrounded by the beautiful central Pennsylvania mountains, the Cramer Family Mountain Inn sits in the center of town and is just 1 mile from I-80. The Inn/B&B offers off-street parking to include additional parking for those traveling with ATV's & trailers. Our Inn is a place to use as your home-base when you're adventuring!

We provide continental type foods for breakfast like: cereals, oatmeal, bread, eggs, fruit, orange juice, coffee, tea, water, etc. All are stocked in the kitchenette.

The space
The Kelley Suite is the largest space within the home and is accessible from the ground level via a private entrance. One step is required to enter the suite from the patio. It is named after the original owners, Logan M. Kelley Sr. & Alice C. Kelley, who purchased the property on July 1, 1914 and then built the home some time before 1917.

*There are four other rooms available for rent at the Cramer Family Mountain Inn! Click on my (Tricia’s) picture as host and scroll to “Tricia’s Listings” to see all options.

Relax in the bedroom/living room with a queen bed, loveseat, chair, smart HDTV & electric fireplace or venture to the private patio to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Enter through the expansive original etched glass French doors with one step up to access the kitchenette with a vintage cast-iron sink, retro 7.4 cu.ft. fridge, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee station, hot plate, pot/pan, dishes, glasses, etc. We do ask that you please practice safe cooking habits. Do not leave the burner unattended. Please do not cook with strong-smelling ingredients. Lingering smells that require deep cleans will be charged a cleaning fee of up to $100.

This suite offers a private modern bathroom with tub/shower behind the sliding barn door. Towels and extra linens are stored in the original linen closet.

In addition to the modern conveniences (bedding, towels, dinnerware and silverware, toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, shower wash and soap, etc.) the space is stocked with various breakfast and snack food items. Within the Kitchenette space there’s a desk with a charging station for remote work and a table and chairs for meals or games.

FYI: This suite can accommodate an additional guest with the pull-out chair or pull-out full sized loveseat for an additional $25 per night or pack & play (available upon request).

Also, this suite is dog friendly (sorry, no cats) for an additional $25 per dog per night. We do have a two dog limit.

Step outside to the private side porch to enjoy the fresh mountain air. Also provided is a fire pit and chairs for taking advantage of the peace, quiet & starry night sky.

It's also a great location for adventuring on the SSRTA SxS/ATV Trails, attending PSU events and games (an easy 25 minutes away) or visiting the local state parks - Black Moshannon & Bald Eagle.

Guest access
To enter the Kelley Suite's private entrance, use the sidewalk that goes around the side of the house (to the left of the front door) for accessing the private side porch. You will receive the door keypad code the morning prior to check-in.

In addition, all guests have access to the quiet side yard. Feel free to relax by the fire at the fire pit or try your hand at a game of cornhole. There’s also a picnic table should having a meal alfresco be of interest.

All guests can enjoy the expansive front porch that is decked out with seating and tables for enjoying the traffic, mountain sounds, and small town conversation.

During your stay
If you experience any issues or need anything, feel free to contact us any time! We're just a block away, if needed and are always happy to help.

Other things to note
Snow Shoe Rails to Trails Association (SSRTA): If you're planning a ride (or hike/bike) on the SSRTA trails, our Inn is situated on one of the many approved streets for riding your ATV/UTV right to the trail. We are also an SSRTA business sponsor and have the yearly memberships available for purchase. Hikers, bikers (manual and electric), equestrians and walkers do not need an SSRTA membership.

Pet Policy:

Dogs (sorry, no cats) are always welcomed to stay in the Kelley Suite. We provide food and water bowls and doggie bags just incase you forgot to pack theirs. There is an additional $25 fee per dog per night to cover the additional cleaning needed for preparing the space for the next guest.

For dogs, we ask the following:
Guests always keep the dog on a leash outside the room.
Guests will not leave the dog unattended in the room.
Guests are responsible for cleaning up all dog refuse. We have supplied “doggy bags” and there is a covered garbage can near the kitchen entrance of the house (near the Kelley Suite private entrance) for bag disposal.

I’m happy to spend time with my guests or give them space
I come from a service and health & wellness background however, I've always had a passion for decorating. When the opportunity to purchase and renovate "the big red house" into a B and B became a reality (a dream come true!), I was able to tap into my love of upcycling furniture and decor items. It's been so much fun putting that passion to work with thrifting and decorating the Inn. I hope you find the spaces within welcoming yet simple!
