Other things to note
How do you get to our house from the airport?
**Taxi (€50) fixed price.**
**Shuttle bus:** If you want to save money, you can take the shuttle bus departing from Terminal 3 arrivals as it makes only 2 stops in Rome, one near my house and one near the central station, Termini.
Once you exit Terminal 3, walk right for 10 minutes to the end of the terminal and you'll reach bus stop number 12.
Visit the sitshuttlebus website to purchase tickets or you can do it on site.
There's a shuttle bus every hour. Duration: thirty minutes. Cost: seven euros. Get off at the AURELIA stop. From there, it's a twenty-minute walk or a six-minute walk to take bus 98, 881 or 916 for 4 stops and get off at Gregorio VII/Di Pietro.
**From Roma Termini central station to our home:**
Take line A towards Battistini and get off at Valle Aurelia. From there, it's an 18-minute walk or, if you have heavy luggage, take bus 31, 33 or 247 for two stops to Anastasio II/Pio XI. From there, it's a 3-minute walk.
What you'll love about this neighborhood
For lovers of walks and for one of the most beautiful panoramic terraces of St. Peter's Square in Rome (a scene from the Oscar-winning film "The Great Beauty"), a 15-minute walk will take you to Via Niccolò Piccolomini. After enjoying the view of the city, another 10-minute walk will take you to one of the most beautiful and largest parks in the city, Villa Pamphili, entering from the nearest entrance on Viale Aurelia Antica 183, a park full of art, history and natural beauty for a little healthy detoxification.
The area where I live, being on an internal street, is very quiet, but a three-minute walk from the main road, you will find several supermarkets such as Todis (just around the corner) or Agora (the largest in the neighborhood where you can find everything), small restaurants and bars. To reach the city center, there are at least 3 bus options that pass frequently (98 881 916, my apartment stop: gregorio VII/ di Pietro) that will take you to Via Paola in less than 15 minutes (30 minutes on foot), from where you can easily walk to the main squares (Piazza Navona, Piazza di Spagna, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Campo de' Fiori). You can buy tickets on the bus as they have a machine by approaching with a credit card or at any newsstand or tobacconist. To get to St. Peter's Square, you can always take one of the passing buses if you don't like walking, or take a 20-minute walk downhill.
