Access
The keys can be gained through an on-site lock box. The code and location for this will be sent to you on the day of your visit.
This is a partly renovated, clean house for you to enjoy:

This is a lovely property, in a great location, that allows you all to spend time together, or to use it as your base for the beach, or further afield on the coast.
Kitchen
The kitchen is older style but is well equipped. This includes fridge, freezer, gas oven, gas hobs, microwave, crockery, cutlery, pots and pans and all other items that you may need.
Linen
We supply all linen, sheets, towels, bathmats, tea towels, hand towels etc.
There is extra linen in the cupboards for the cleaners, if you need to use this please wash your dirty linen or if you like you can pay an extra linen charge.
Consumables
Basic consumable items are provided for your assistance as a starter for your visit with us. Eg: coffee, tea bags for each guest, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner & bodywash & dishwashing liquid, these are provided for short stay (1-2 days). Any additional items you require will need to be purchased by you
Laundry
The laundry has a washing machine and there is an external clothes line
Pet Friendly
This is a pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your dog (10kgs or less). Please note the yard is fully fenced but you must ensure it does not escape. You are expected to clean up after your pet please and you must notify us that you are bringing your pet on booking our place we do not welcome puppies or unhouse trained pets. Pets are not allowed on the furniture, cushions or bedding.
Internet
We have free high speed internet access for you to use and enjoy. The details for this will be sent to you on your booking day or you can access them through airbnb.

Guest access
Guests have sole and exclusive use of the house and yard.
There are two garages not for public use, which are separate to the house and may be accessed by maintenance/cleaning staff on some occasions.
We have a lawnmower man that may need to come around to the house and mow the lawns if you are staying for a long stay or during peak seasons

You're welcome to arrive at any time, but please be aware that it may be dark if you check in late. While we provide outdoor lighting, it's not always left on, so we recommend bringing a flashlight just in case.

Check-in is at 3 PM, but we will notify you if your place is ready sooner. For guaranteed early access, consider booking the night before, subject to availability. Guests who have not checked out by 10 AM and/or have not arranged a late check-out will instantly be charged a full night's accommodation. If belongings need to be moved, an additional fee will apply. This is necessary as we require sufficient time to prepare the property for the next guests, and delays place incredible stress on our staff.
Late check-out may be available depending on bookings and housekeeping schedules. Please contact Waikanae Beach Motel before your departure to check availability.
For check-outs after 12 PM this must be arranged and an extra night's fee will apply and must be paid via Airbnb by the night before. If unpaid, housekeeping will be scheduled for the regular 10 AM check-out time to ensure the property is ready for the next guest.

The cleaning fee covers two-three cleaners who refresh linens and top up supplies. If you stay longer, you'll find our properties are much cheaper per night. For one-night stays, we need to pass on the cost, as we still incur the same level of preparation and cleaning as for longer stays. We appreciate it if you can leave cleaned towels in the washing machine for the cleaners to hang in the sunshine, but it’s not required. Please ensure the property is left tidy. Additional charges may apply for excessive mess, such as food scraps or dirty ovens. Thank you for your understanding!
