Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.

Ocean view

Soak up the view during your stay.
Enjoy a stay at the historic Klipsan Beach Life Saving Station, situated just over a block from the ocean. The family-friendly Upper Deck offers a private, well-equipped two bedroom retreat with space to cook, relax, and reconnect.

The large, fenced-in yard includes grills, a fire pit, dog run, and gazebo. Inside, you’ll find a gourmet kitchen and a thoughtfully curated selection of nautical movies, games, books, and puzzles for all ages.

The space
There are two bedrooms in the Upper Deck (one king, one daybed with trundle), plus a sleeper sofa and optional cot, comfortably sleeping up to six guests. The king bed can be split into twins with at least one week’s notice.

The unit features vaulted ceilings, a clean cottage-style interior, and two private entrances—one opening directly onto the upper deck. A laundry room is available on site, and parking is free.

The full-size kitchen is outfitted with a coffee maker, grinder, and everything needed to prepare meals, whether you're keeping it simple or crafting a culinary masterpiece. A picnic basket and beach towels are also provided for outings to the beach or one of the nearby state parks.

Entertainment options include a 4K Smart TV, a large collection of DVDs (including family favorites), and a carefully assembled digital movie library focused on ocean and nautical themes. There are also dozens of unique and rare board games and puzzles, along with a curated selection of books on marine life and coastal history. (And of course, the Wi‑Fi is fast and reliable!)

The private deck faces west and offers filtered views of the ocean—a great spot for morning coffee or relaxing in the evening. The shared yard is fully fenced and includes picnic tables, grills, a fire pit, gazebo, and an extended dog run, well-suited for families, pets, or group gatherings.

One of the bedrooms includes a daybed with trundle and has been thoughtfully set up to accommodate younger guests, with fun nautical décor, a kids’ table, themed toys, and a collection of classic books, VHS movies, and cassette tapes (with player). While designed with children in mind, the room is comfortable and practical for guests of any age.

Educational materials on maritime history, ocean science, and regional ecology are available in the unit, along with archival resources on the Life Saving Station itself. These have been thoughtfully assembled for both adults and younger learners, offering something for curious guests, history buffs, and homeschooling families alike.

Guests have private access to the Upper Deck, a fully self-contained unit with no shared interior spaces. The Upper Deck is one of three separate accommodations located on the historic station property.

The on-site laundry room is shared with other guests and also provides access to yard games and outdoor equipment. Guests have shared use of the fully fenced yard, which includes picnic tables, grills, a fire pit, gazebo, and an extended dog run.

Lives in Ocean Park, Washington
We are a small family who has been working for the last several years to restore a former U.S. Life Saving Station (which later became a Coast Guard Station). In order to support its renovation and share it with the community, we are eager to rent it out as a vacation home for all who want to enjoy its history, or even just a week at the beach.
