Guests have sole and exclusive use of the house and yard. Lovely open deck overlooking a newly established reserve. We have a lawnmower man that may need to come around to the house and mow the lawns if you are staying for a long stay or during peak seasons.
The laundry is located a the back of the property, at the bottom of the deck near the frenchdoors.

Some guests have mentioned that they can hear noise from the trucks and cranes at the port. The property features a stream down a steep hill, so care should be taken when supervising small children. Guests who have not checked out by 10 AM and/or have not arranged a late check-out will instantly be charged a full night's accommodation. If belongings need to be moved, an additional fee will apply. Late check-out may be available depending on bookings and housekeeping schedules. Please contact Waikanae Beach Motel before your departure to check availability.
For check-outs after 12 PM this must be arranged and an extra night's fee will apply and must be paid via Airbnb by the night before. If unpaid, housekeeping will be scheduled for the regular 10 AM check-out time to ensure the property is ready for the next guest.

Our cleaning fee covers two to three professional cleaners who refresh the property, launder linens, and top up essential supplies.
If you are staying longer, you will notice our nightly rates are much lower. For one night stays, we need to pass on the full cleaning cost, as the same level of preparation and cleaning is required regardless of stay length.
We appreciate it if you are able to place used towels in the washing machine and turn it on so the cleaners can hang them in the sunshine. This is helpful but not required.
Before departure, we ask that all dirty dishes are either washed or placed in the dishwasher and a cycle started. Please also ensure the fridge is left clean and free of leftover food.
Please ensure the property is left tidy. Additional charges may apply where excessive mess or contamination requires additional cleaning time beyond our standard service, including food scraps left behind, unwashed dishes, dirty fridges, or heavily soiled appliances such as dirty ovens.
