We had a wonderful time at Sean’s place. The home is absolutely beautiful, equipped with everything you could possibly want and need for a comfortable stay. We felt very well taken care of. Nothing was too much trouble for Sean. He is a very kind, warm and inviting host. The location is idyllic, the surroundings are breathtaking. The waterside view, the moody skies, the birds and the landscape make it a truly authentic Shetlandic experience! Thank you so much Sean, for making our first trip to Shetland so enjoyable. We were so pleased that we stayed here. We all fell in love with the house and Scalloway with its great local shops. The house had everything you would ever need and was very clean. Riley our dog felt right at home in the gardens and especially loved the leaves at this time of year. There are easy short dog walks from the house. Scalloway is such a great central location for exploring all Shetland. We even made it right to the top for fine views of Muckle Flugga and down the other way to Sumburgh Head. The beaches down in Burra are well worth visiting as well as the tombolo to St Ninian's Isle. Mark is a great host, always helpful and responsive with very useful suggestions for things to do. We would love to return and wouldn't consider other houses, just got to work out how and when!

Great location on Yell, close to ferry. So cosy with perfect lounge room seating to enjoy the view. All essentials in kitchen too!

Can’t recommend enough! We booked this lovely holiday home based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint! The house is in a great location (9min walk to a big Tesco and 25min walk to the main town shops) but lots of free parking if you wanted to drive. A Beautiful beach is just 1min path walk (we saw a few nosey seals in the water too) Kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, the shower is hot, and the house is very clean. Lois was a fantastic host, we didn’t need her for much - as the home had everything, but when we messaged for recommendations for places to eat or locations to visit she was alway prompt to messaged and had some great suggestions. We loved Shetland, and we wouldn’t hesitate to re book if we visited again.

What an incredible magical slice of the world Shetland is, made even more special by our stay at Ruth's Sea Winds abode. Perfectly located and with everything you could ask for and then some! Ruth's was super responsive and accommodating, providing helpful tips and recommendations, along with a wonderful welcome hamper of local goodies. Just what we needed after the ferry trip over 🌊 We adored exploring Shetland and getting to experience some of what it had to offer during our short stay. Waking up by the sea and coming home to cosy up by the fire after a day of adventure was just delightful. We became accustomed to our daily coffee from the Peerie shop cafe, looking out for seals frolicking for fish, and listening to a few squeals (and partaking ourselves) as locals took a dip in the icy waters of Bains beach. Can't wait to come back in the summer and explore Shetlands unique environment again! Thank you Ruth for the most perfect stay...we can see why you love it!

Lovely stay at Ingrid's when we visited family in Scalloway. A home from home with great views across the harbour to Burra. Very comfortable, cosy and spotlessly clean. We appreciated all the extra touches such as Shetland soaps in the bathroom and biscuits, tea, coffee & milk in the kitchen. Ingrid had put the heating on ahead of our arrival too which was very thoughtful as we arrived late on a particularly cold night. Ingrid will go the extra mile to make your visit enjoyable. Would definitely recommend.

Doreen and Trevor's cottage was an ideal base for a business trip - out of town but not too far away, easy to find and plenty of room to spread out, with excellent WiFi. Good off-road parking. The house was fully equipped with everything I needed (including full oven), and Doreen and Trevor were helpful without being intrusive. Thoroughly recommended!

The house was cosy and comfortable and equipped with all necessary amenities. The location was great for exploring the beauty of Shetland. Fiona was a fabulous host, very responsive and made sure our stay was superb.

Bruce and Jeans cottage was a wonderful place for us to celebrate our wedding anniversary and bring in the new year. It was warm and cozy and Bruce, Jean and their family were so kind and helpful. They even helped tow us when we were struggling with the snow. We will definitely come back to stay here in better weather!
