Arcadio is a great host. Even though he doesn't speak English, we've been able to have great conversations with Google translate. He is very interested in his guests and also always open to questions of all kinds. I immediately felt at home and would want to stay with him again at any time.

The area is safe and quiet, and located close to the center. Ju as a host was proactive and helpful in many ways, and was willing to help us out with whatever we needed. I felt really comfortable staying there. One minor (even irrelevant) inconvenience for us was that one bathroom had hot water whilst the other didn't. It was not a problem taking turns. I would recommend the house to anyone wanting to visit Sao Tome.

We stayed at Bastien's Place for 1 night when we visited the Southern part of Sao Tome. After doing a lot of research, I found that this was the best option and I am really happy we decided to stay here. The house we had was very spacious with a full kitchen downstairs a living area which had nets on the windows that that no bugs could come in and there is also an outside area to enjoy. The beach is just about a 5 minutes walk down a pathway and some stairs, we were the only ones there. The dinner prepared was delicious and included a starter, main course and desert. One of the highlights was stargazing, using Bastien's telescope and he was a wealth of information. Breakfast was amazing with fresh fruits, eggs, rolls and different choices for drinks. I highly recommend Bastien's place when visiting this part of Sao Tome. We just wished we had more time to spend here. Thank you Bastien for being such a wonderful host and we hope to be back one day soon again.

A great house very close to Santana It has 3 super large rooms with its bathroom, perfect for a large group The garden is wonderful and from the rooms you listen to the sea The house is larger than it appears in the photos There is a guard that welcomes you at all times and everyone is helpful. We tried dinner on arrival and it was delicious!! It was fish, vegetable salad, cooked vegetables, rice and dessert, super full!! Good communication It is about 20-30 minutes drive from Santo Tome being a fairly easy road On the way there is some store with basic things, it is best to shop at the supermarket that are in the city. You can walk to the beach nearby and to Santana Highly recommended!!

Great stay of 3 nights. The location allows you to discover the beaches of the north. Adilson and his team are very friendly. The breakfasts are very good and have flexible hours. The lunch is good. Evening meals are good and flexible hours (can be paid in cash in euros). Sometimes, after dark, dogs start screaming.

José was a friendly and considerate host. His apartment was not available to us due to unexpected difficulties with water supply, but José already had alternative arrangements in place for us at a very nice guest house. We would definitely make contact with him again at our next stay.

I had the pleasure of spending a wonderful week at Tortue ecolodge hosted by its owner Rui! What an experience. From the delicious home cooked meals using local produce to taking time out of his schedule to show me around the beautiful island of São Tomé. Rui went above and beyond to make my visit memorable. The accommodation is comfortable and very well maintained by his team, whilst the surroundings are very peaceful, including the black sand beach and vegetation. I can’t recommend this place enough. Just book it!

Lovely and charming home. Elisa was kind and helpful providing a lot of recommendations of things to do. We were a bit confused of where to go and didn’t have phone data upon arrival - so make sure you get clear instructions of where the house is and preferably a driver or taxi organized before you land.
