Great location, close to the golden circle. We were able to see the northern lights right at backyard. The two cats are cute and friendly. Sigmar was very responsive!

An incredibly beautiful and well-designed house with everything we could possibly need—it truly felt like home, and we enjoyed every moment here. The spacious and cozy common areas are perfect for a large group of friends or family. The location is also excellent for viewing the Northern Lights. Overall, highly recommended!

We could not have found better accommodations. Our group thoroughly appreciated the hospitality of our hosts and the lovely rooms. We loved having enough bathrooms for our entire party. It was such a benefit to have a full kitchen with everything we needed to make breakfast each morning and snacks at night. Grocery stores and bakeries were nearby. We were able to see the Northern Lights 4 of the 7 nights we were there. That alone made the trip worth it. We absolutely enjoyed our stay here!!

Great place to stay. We were allowed to check in earlier and were able to get into the house as early as 12pm. You can conveniently park your car near the house.

Emma and Oskar were extremely responsive and addressed some minor hiccups, that were out of their control, promptly and efficiently. Their home is cozy, adorably decorated and has phenomenal views. The hot tub/spa was very easy to use and the toiletries/supplies were plentiful. Would highly recommend for guests exploring the Golden Circle.

This is a wonderful property, and the host was very welcoming and responsive. Our group was impressed from the moment we walked in: was spotlessly clean, had a whole library of books and games available, and had all the amenities you could need in the kitchen (including a bowl of cookies left out!). The instructions were clear on the hot tub, and the back patio was a perfect setup to relax there in the evening after a long day of hiking. The property was a very short drive into the town, where there were a handful of nice restaurants, delicious bakery, and grocery store. We slept with the windows open, and had an easy time getting the room to a comfortable temperature for us. There wasn’t often noise in the neighborhood, but the windows were excellent at soundproofing when there was. Overall, was a great stay and I would recommend to anyone coming through the area.

We stayed for a few nights, and the place and location were absolutely breathtaking. You are fairly close to so many beautiful places in Iceland it makes it a great home base for a day of exploring. Coming back after a day out was homey and warm. Jóna had some great maps and recommendations for things to see while there which were also incredible!

For those who want more than one day to explore the Golden Circle, this is a great location. It is close to the main attractions, is easy to find, and is within walking distance to the several restaurants in the immediate area. It is very quiet. However, it appears the secret is out because several additional units are being finished/not at all a noise issue; just a fact. This spot is really best used for a couple. You could put one small child on the pull out couch, but that may not be optimal. I probably would not book for four people. The hosts are excellent communicators and we appreciated their responsiveness. If I had to nitpick, the bed was a little firm for my preference. Also, if you are planning to eat in, I would stock up on groceries before you arrive because the local market is serviceable but limited and quite pricey. Overall, we had a nice stay in this spot. Easy to recommend for two, but I’d think hard before picking this for a family of four.

super clean, fully equipped, and great host

This was a hidden jem! I would definitely recommend the house to my friends. The house was clean, well maintained and well decorated. It was warm and I could find everything I needed to make dinners. The house was much prettier and cleaner than the pictures! It was a good location to enjoy the beauty of the nature nearby. I could see the northern lights in the garden and my family had an unforgettable experience. The host was very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend the place.

We chose to stay in Laugarvatn for 2 nights and we're so glad we did. The town of Selfoss nearby had plenty to do, see, and eat. The home here was super homey, clean, and perfect for our group of 6. It's across the street from a natural hot spring and cafe/coffee shop. Our crew loved spending one of our mornings there! The drive into the town was spectacular. It's a great gateway into the Highlands, as well! Would highly recommend this stay! The host was excellent!

Esra’s place was great and we would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the area. It’s set in an apartment building that’s in close proximity to a food store, gas station, a food hall and a visitor’s center. It had all the amenities we needed to cook our meals and wash our clothes. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. The town was situated in a good spot, not far from Selfoss and several natural attractions. The only con was the presence of a daycare next door with several loud children, sometimes into the evening hours. But this wouldn’t be a deterrent from us staying there again. We really enjoyed Esra’s apartment and the town.

Wonderful place to stay, particularly if you are interested in going to the Fontana baths. Less than a 5 minute walk so great to get back 'home' after a long day of driving then walk over to the baths to relax. Place was very comfortable, clean, well appointed and the host is very responsive. Highly recommend!
