This cottage by the sea was our favorite stop in New Zealand and I feel so sorry for all those people in the world that have never visited the Kaikoura Peninsula!

Great modern home. Super clean, well equipped with everything you need, and lovely bedrooms and bathrooms, super clean and crisp linens. Easy ten minute walk to centre of town. Just use your muscles to jiggle the door knob open!

The house is in residential area in Christchurch so fairly quiet and peaceful compared to other places I used to stay. The floor area is spacious plus a huge secured back yard for children to play. Maggie is a responsive host which provided us barbecue facilities that we really appreciated. We stayed for four nights and really enjoyed our time. Would recommend this place to other travelers too.

We really appreciated returning to Treetops Cottage. It's a warm, well appointed home with everything that is needed for a happy holiday in Hanmer. Kia Ora Shari
